The Staff was RUDE. Check in at 3 I arrived 2:45 the receptionist said PLACE WAS DIRTY

Didn’t like at all. Had to go next door to chk in there was No building attendant on duty. Saw two Drug deals going down in front at door and a male female fight punching each other in parking lot at 6 am. Towels were still and smelly . Tub was not safe for shower or bathe in. The whole surface of tub was paint and rust cracked end to end .

Disappointed

Hotel was outdated, the furniture was torn (couch) & table was broken With missing wood.The toilet seat was chipped & dirty. I choose it because it was a Wyndham Property. It should NOT be associated with that name.

Stinky Room

We arrived at 10:00 PM friday night after working all day and driving 3 hours to this destination. I had made reservtions 2 weeks in advance and requested a NON-SMOKING room and accessible shower as I am handicap with back problems. We did NOT receive anything we requested. When I went down the next morning to ask if we could change rooms the staff was very professional and did switch our room for us but the Hotel as a whole was in need of renovating and needed a new deco it was furnished with mismatched furniture and old couches and chairs. Will not be staying here again and probably will not pick Hawthorne Suites again even if they are less expensive.

MOST AMAZING AND THOUGHTFUL AND CONSIDERATE STAFF!

Pros: Breakfasts were yummy, hot and filling! The breakfast room was very comfy and cozy! The room was super comfy, super clean, very quiet...Perfect size
Cons: Not one thing could make this place better! .Other hotels should learn from this one I've traveled extensively...was so thankful for Hawthorn!
Location: Absolutely the best location. Walmart behind you....strip malls everywhere! Great location easy travel to Ft. Worth, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio
Read reviews before from people who 'appreciated' the staff. NOW i see why THAT is such a big deal! I flew to Texas to see my Sweetheart before he deployed (again) to the Middle East! My arrival date was the day AFTER his birthday. I brought decorations to surprise him! My amazing stay began with AMAZING STAFF! Kimberly (manager) allowed me to check in early to set up the room for the surprise birthday! She didn't have to do that. Kimberly also let me use her tape dispenser (as I had forgotten mine) to help me with the decorations! She didn't have to do that, either. On the last day, my flight wasn't until 4:15...and check out is at 12:00. She ran it by her General Manager first and they allowed me and my Sweetheart to stay as long as we needed (in the room.....not just in the lobby!)..They were so thankful for the military and expressed their patriotism and concern! She certainly didn't have to do that! She also said, 'Happy Birthday" to my Sweetheart later on in the first evening ....as she remembered me and what I was doing. Very thoughtful....verrrrry kind! And my Sweetheart felt special, too!! The rest of the staff was so friendly, so helpful, so respectful and SO GENUINE! Their demeanor was real and they all made you feel like a part of a family and not just a patron!...AND NOW I KNOW WHY THE STAFF CAN MAKE OR BREAK AN EXPERIENCE! MY HEARTFELT THANKS TO THE WHOLE CREW AT HAWTHORNE IN KILLEEN!!!

More like a family than a staff

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, manager's reception
We went down last Dec. to see our son deploy to Afghanistan. Dates were changed and we ended up staying for almost two weeks. We put up a Christmas tree; we became friendly with the entire staff; the woman in charge of breakfast brought us homemade cake following her day off; the managers and desk staff were equally accommodating. The suite was immaculate as was the fitness room. He's coming home soon, and I just got online to make our reservations. I'm not even looking elsewhere.

Won't stay again

Came to welcome my son home from Afghanistan. Stayed 3 nights. After 1st night, no housekeeping. Called front desk to ask if housekeeping attended to each room daily, and the 'gentleman' (not) said "I don't know". A.m. after the 2nd night called to make sure housekeeping would at least come emply our trash. Again, no housekeeping. Called that afternoon, same 'gentleman' (not) and he said he would leave a note for the manager. I asked what that would do for me. His response "get it cleaned". My response "today?". His response "no". I told him I was going to put my trash out in the hall. He said "oooohhhh kaaay". Guy was a jerk. Rooms aren't great. Bathroom light flikers a lot. I dare not call to get that fixed.
