This place was bad. I will say the room was clean. Other than that, stuff was broken and out of order everywhere. The ice machine, the sauna and even our room lock. When I complained to the night staff that the key card would not work. He stated the battery was dead due to static electricity caused by us and it would be replaced. It wasn't replaced. We left with entrance lock to our room not working. The breakfast picture is a lie. There was nothing but oatmeal, a waffle maker and six mini cinnamon rolls. The juice was out, there was no coffee, not even bread for toast. The front desk attendant was asleep on the job. The parking lot was right by our window so it was very loud. Do Not Stay Here!!!

Thank you for staying with us and sharing your experience. We are glad the room met your expectations for cleanliness, our housekeeping staff work hard to ensure each room is properly cleaned. I will share your acknowledgment with them. As for everything else, I would like to apologize deeply. It is true that our ice machine is out of order, we have been working with a repair specialist to get it fixed and have been informed the required parts are on the way. We are doing our best to get this corrected as quickly as possible. The sauna is something the owners decided in Spring of 2022 to remove from our amenities. We have done our best to remove it as a listed amenity from every travel website since that decision was made, but unfortunately it looks like we will need to contact all those sites again to ensure it is once again removed. We apologize for the door locks, it should have been fixed quickly, I will speak with my staff to ensure they address these issues more efficiently. It also appears our breakfast offerings were not restocked during your stay, there is no excuse for that and we will be having a meeting with our staff concerning the importance of providing all our breakfast offerings during the entirety of our breakfast service along with the importance of arriving to work well rested and ready to complete all their duties. We apologize deeply your experience was severely lacking. We will grow from these shortcomings and do better in the future.

The check in person had a cigarette in his mouth and when I stated I was there to check in, he stated check in is at 3:00--no pleasantries or apologies. Several rooms were still being cleaned at 5:00 pm. No grass around property. It needs paint and upgrades. Dust "bunnies" on the ceiling. Loose handle on the sink. Several lights were out in the hallway. Least pleasant experience I have had at a motel in a long time.

Dear Valory,I deeply apologize for your experience with the front desk agent. I will speak with him on the matter of his attitude, and the cigarette in his mouth. That is not an image we want to portray at our establishment. Under normal circumstances, our housekeepers are able to get most rooms clean by 3PM. There are occasions when it takes them a little longer to complete their tasks, however, they are very thorough when cleaning the rooms between guests. We cannot control whether there is grass around the property. We are a hotel located in the mountains, and we have natural grasses that grow closer to the road, but our parking lot takes up the space that it does in order to accommodate enough parking for the number of rooms we have. We have already begun refreshing our hotel. We have had each of the halls and stairwells painted, as well as the breakfast room, and we will move on to painting the guest rooms starting this week. We will also ne installing new lighting in the halls to brighten them up. There is only one light that is out in our hallways, on the second floor, and that is being addressed. It is not simply a burned out bulb. The loose sink handle has already been fixed. I apologize that your expectations were not met during your stay, however, many of the things you found to be lacking are, or already were, being addressed. Thanks again for your insights.

I can't believe we paid $175 to stay one night in this sadly deteriorating building. The walls/floors so thin we heard beds squeaking, doors slamming, people talking all night. Very outdated, old decor. Next time we will drive home and not stay over. Tried to sleep in Buena but was all sold out. Never again in Leadville.
