"Hosts are amazing. View is out of this world!! Pool is clean. Within an hour of Volcanoes Park, 1.5 of Mauna Kea observatories or Kona coast. Originally came years ago, and it still doesn’t disappoint. (No AC, so utilize all fans and ocean breeze.)"

"Right across the street from the beach and about 8 miles from the newest black sand beach in the world. Be aware that the beaches here aren’t very kid friendly and the one across the beach is clothing optional. We (including our 7 and 9 year old) did go into the water, but the waves made me nervous. Cool to watch the fishermen in the evenings, though and everyone is super friendly. Fresh fruit including coconut almost daily for sale by a local across the street as well. Yum! Space was very cute, clean and as described. We love the little geckos all over! Note that there’s only 1 AC unit in the bedroom so the living space can get warm. Amazing communication from the owner who was very responsive and friendly. Make sure to buy groceries before you arrive and write down the entry code beforehand as we had no cell reception until we were able to log into the WiFi.This place was super special to us as 13 years ago, my husband and I did a road trip to the east side of the Big Island during our honeymoon and ended up at Uncles down the road for the “End of the World” party (per the Mayan calendar). I had no idea this place was so close and it was fun to reminisce."

"Unique house that’s tucked back in the trees. Well maintained with comfortable beds and plenty of space. Only downside is no air conditioning. Plenty of fans that did keep us comfortable for our stay. Would recommend"
