We apologize that our pool is down for repairs. We do have an ice machine on the first floor across from the front desk and our soda machine is located on the second floor. We apologize that the desk staff was not available and thank you for bringing this to our attention.

The property is old outdated. The room smelled like mold and mildew the bath tub was peeling and there is no elevator.

Fine for a rest stop

My son and I stopped for the night on a 20 hour drive. The staff was pleasant. We were able to get some dinner at the Fazzoli's across the passing lot without getting back into the car. The bed was fine. The room was small and bland. We didn't use the pool. The breakfast was bad, I found the few hot offerings inedible. For the price I'd expect more.

nice but false advertising

We chose this location because of the indoor pool but when we arrived apparently the pool is closed five months out of the year. We could not find anywhere this was stated an even their highway billboard gave no indication. We would not have chosen had it been stated. Also the breakfast was not as good as other locations on our trip. I feel that we paid for a pool access evening and it was not provided. We did not get the value for our dollar at this location

We do apologize for the dissatisfaction you had with your stay. Our seasonal pool is not heated thus we close it during the colder months. This information has been given to all travel websites but we have no control how the information is displayed on those sites. We have asked that they put this information in a prominent place so that guest will be made aware of the seasonal pool schedule. Again we do apologize.

Overnight in Joplin

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Get a new coffee pot.
Location: Just stayed overnight on the way to St. Louis.
Hotel was great. Room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. The only problem was the coffee was terrible.

Always stay here when in Joplin

Location: This is convenient to the Bible college where I often visit for seminars. Works great for me and the others I have brought, both youth and adults.
I always get more than I expect. The employees are always helpful, rooms are very clean and the beds are great. I'm cheap but won't stay in a dump just to save money. This place is a great deal for the money!

Better than other people's reviews..............

Pros: The intimate feeling, the window bench/bed, and pool. Also close to Crackle Barrel!
Cons: Bed isn't comfortable & pillows are horrible! Add better pillows or at least give more than 1 per person. Shampoo the carpet & Add Fridge to each room
Location: Location is right off interstate and close to a lot of attractions in Joplin, about 2-3 miles from mall. Crackle Barrel & Fazoli's in walking distance
I booked this hotel blind & was quite pleased when I was presented with what hotel I was given. After reading others reviews, I was anxious as to what I would be arriving too. My wife & I just wanted to get away for a night to get alone time. This hotel worked for that quite well. Others stated these rooms were small, and they were. But, we loved it that way. It is unique. The bathroom was average size although. The best way that I can describe it is like if you ever been on a train like Amtrak and stayed in a private room. Not one of the small rooms, but a larger one. It was intimate, modern and efficient. My wife loved it and fellows, we know that is what matters the most, especially when we are wanting "romantic" time. The room was adequately clean. It wouldn't win any contests by any means, as the floor was a bit dissatisfying. My wife was a bit grossed out when her feet stuck to the carpet but other than that, it was clean and my only complaint. My wife and I both loved the window seat that can also work as a small bed for a child. The room had a lot of mirrors which was very nice, especially on the wall behind the bed. The room had nice lighting and had different switches for a more intimate option which was our sole purpose for going to a hotel in the first place. The bed was kind of small. I don't think that they offer king beds of which we are use to and for an smaller size couple, the queen bed was adequate. Pillows were horrible. All in all, we would come back.

Terrible. Cheap service. Not worth the price.

Location: Good location
This hotel is actually not a bad hotel but it seems like it is being badly managed. The pool has no heater. The toilet paper is the cheapest quality that can be found and they will only give you one roll at a time. The hot water in the rooms is apparently shut off after the maids leave for the day because the water will be extremely hot in tge morning after 5 am or so until around 2 pm and then it will be ice cold without even a hint of trying to warm up for the rest of the day and night until early the next morning again. We stayed multiple days so we noticed the pattern almost immediately. Half the light bulbs throughout the room were burnt out. The side doors to the building never locked even tho they are supposed to be key card entries so there is no security. For the price they charge nightly I expected much better. Will not stay here again and will tell others not to also.

I do apologize for the dissatisfaction you had with our property. The hot water is never shut off. As to why you had an issue with the hot water during specific times of the day is unclear but I can assure you that I will have maintenance look into the matter. Also if you had spoken with the desk staff I am sure they would have offered you another room if it was available. I apologize about the burned out lights, housekeeping should have notified maintenance about them. Again I will have the issue taken care of. In regards to the side doors they are suppose to be locked. I assure you I will find out why they were not locked and resolve the issue immediately. Again I do apologize.
