It was a great place to stay. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach. Had such a great time with family at the pool as well. The refrigerator needs to be replaced as it seemed aged and the ice maker did not work. Overall we would defintally rent again

We had a great stay in this vacation home! The house was conveniently located to the beach and center of town with ample space for us, our two kids and two dogs. We also enjoyed the pool and privacy of the backyard. It was nice to have a fenced in back yard for our dogs. The property was clean and had enough linens, towels, and even provided beach towels. The kitchen was well equipped and we liked the countertop icemaker. We would have liked TVs in the downstairs bedrooms though.The rental company was quick to respond to any questions we had and check in was fast and easy. The snacks and coffee provided on arrival were a nice touch! The one suggestion I would make is to have more than one key to the property. It was a little hard only having one key when we weren't coming and going at the same time. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

The cleanliness of the outside of the property was a bit of a factor at first (the pool was clean, but the landscaping beds and gutters needed attention.) However, when the Avant Stay team reached out to us on the first day to make sure the property was everything we expected it to be, we took that opportunity to share our concerns with them. They immediately sent a crew out to rectify the situation. They were very responsive and professional.

Perfect family getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the house. There were 7 of us and plenty of room. The pool stayed cool in the summer heat which was refreshing. The screened in porch is wonderful. The only issue side is the mattress in the second bedroom. It makes crunching noises at th slightest move. The beach is just a quick walk. The neighborhood was peaceful and pretty.

Great family get-away

The pool table was a big hit! There were wonderful outdoor porches and a deck that was so lovely for our family spring break. The beach is a close walk; and grocery store convenient great location, and quaint beach house. We appreciated that it was well stocked with towels and coffee.

Great spot

House as advertised, plenty of space to spread out especially if you are visiting in warmer months. House is well appointed with all necessary essentials. Great location with short walk to the beach.

Beautiful Property

I really enjoyed my stay but I have a few recommendations. The queen bedroom upstairs has a really bad mattress or boxsprings. It makes a horrible noise with every move. I’d recommend replacing the furniture in that room with smaller furniture so you can move around the bed; possibly a twin top bunk with a full bed on the bottom. You could get a bigger bed downstairs if you were concerned about fitting larger families. My family complain about the mattresses. The master bedroom mattress was great. The water storage tank on the coffee machine had a huge piece of plastic missing so we couldn’t make more than 1 cup at a time which was not ideal. The kitchen was well stocked on supplies and we appreciated it. The downstairs bathroom shower door needs fixed. It kept swinging open. The pool sticks are in pretty bad shape and need replacing. It’s didn’t stop my family from playing but they did complain.

Multigeneration with family

Perfect 3 generation family vacation with my 2 adult children and their families (4 grandchildren ages 1-4 yr old). Beautiful house, great location- easy walk to the beautiful beach, easy drive to Charleston. The house and pool were great. Highly recommend.

Overall great; cleanliness lacking in certain areas

Loved the proximity to the beach. Very quiet neighborhood. Check in and out was easy. Property management was on-site as promised to take out garbage cans and clean the pool. They were very polite. My only complaint would be the cleanliness of some parts of the house. The upper floor bedrooms, bathrooms and large storage closet were very clean and appeared recently updated. The kitchen, family room, screened porch and lower level bedrooms had several issues. The fabric sofa and chair cushions were all heavily stained. The celing fan, floor and window sills in the screened porch had a thick layer of dirt on them. The lower level bedrooms were like college dorm rooms; cheap furnishings, sparse and uninviting. The window of one of the lower floor bedrooms looked out into an outdoor storage space. There was food spatter on the kitchen ceiling and stains on the patio door curtains. The entryway steps are quite worn and need some painting/staining. The dryer took multiple long cycles just to dry a standard family sized load of towels. A little extra attention to these areas would raise my cleanliness rating.

Great House!

We LOVED the location and the fact that it was dog friendly. It was a good bedroom arrangement for our family. My husband & I in 1 room, my adult daughters in room with 2 larger beds and a room for each boyfriend traveling with us. The house has a little wear & tear on it but location and space made up for that. Well stocked kitchen and we enjoyed the pool table downstairs. The TV situation was also very good- for when we had a little down time. Only complaint was the grill was not operational. AvantStay was awesome to work with and always quick to respond to questions. All in all- great place in the best beach town we’ve been to!

A+ Rental

Our family of four adults plus dogs had a wonderful time. The neighborhood is very walkable and close to the beach, coffee shops, restaurants, and a grocery store. Thanks for a great stay!

Great Stay

Recently renovated and in a great, walkable location. This property isn’t handicapped accessible but for those who can walk up about 12 stairs, it was a great place to stay. The company to manages the property were outstanding and very responsive when I broke the glass coffee carafe on the granite countertop. Two things I would have appreciated would have been curtains in the den for privacy from house directly across the street and lamps at ends the sofa for those of us who like to read. Otherwise, loved it!!!

Mini Vaca Weekend

Our family decided to stay at the Isle of Palms for the weekend due to the Citadel home game! This home was spectacular! The children and adults both enjoyed the pool so much. We were close to the beach access and enjoyed shelling. Great place to stay, great location and beautiful home! Perfect!

Good Time on Isle of Palms

This beach house had a homey vibe. We especially enjoyed the pool and the proximity to the beach. The open main floor plan worked well for hang out space for our family.

Great Property. Stayed 1 week with 11 family members...the pool though.

Overall, the stay and the property was fantastic. The house itself was clean and very welcoming when we arrived, aside from marks on the walls (nothing out of the ordinary wear and tear on a rental property). The house is spacious and was a perfect resting grounds between visiting the beach and enjoying all Isle of Palms and the surround Charleston area had to offer. Just a short distance from the beach and minutes away from some great restuarants and attractions. My only complaint, and the driving factor behind the 4-star overall rating, was the pool. The pool was dirty when we arrived. There were piles of sand scattered throughout the pool...nothing too extreme, but when you're paying a premium for a property like this you'd expect it to be clean. That said, the Property Managers Tyler and Justin were very responsive and attentive to our complaints. They had someone come out that day to clean the pool. Then, come to find out the return jets on the pool weren't functioning so water wasn't efficiently being cycled through the pools filtration system. Another pool vendor was called, came out to the property, but nothing was fixed. As the week went on the murkiness of the water got worse and worse, to the point no one felt safe swimming in it. We got 2.5 days of use out it. But again, to be fair, Justin and Tyler did a good job in attending to our needs. And the customer service representative, Jayson, was helpful in assisting with compensation for this issue.
