Very roomy condo. Listing as described. Well stocked kitchen. Very close to St Mary’s Glacier trail head. All linens clean and stocked. WiFi worked fine. Somewhat remote but right on the road but traffic was not a concern. Having trash bags stocked, dish soap and dishwasher pods, a roll of paper towels were a plus. The owner was extremely helpful and even brought out some additional fans as it was unusually warm I assume for the location. We are from S. Louisiana so no AC during the day was unusual but it was very comfortable at night and cooled down. Convenient to Idaho Springs and some activities such as rafting, hiking and tours and the restaurants in Idaho Springs were very good. Thanks for renting us your cabin/ Condo. The Gourgues - Plaquemine La.

Nothing like we expected

Nothing about the property was what we expected. The condo was dirty. There was someone (assuming a property manager) living below who was very kind but his dogs barked at all hours and were very loud. The check in and check out directions were not clear. The hot tub lift was broken and when we called to inform them they blew us off like it was no big deal yet there were warning signs all over about being charged for it if it breaks. The location is beautiful and it has the potential if it was better maintained

Remote Cabin

This cabin was awesome. The location was so cool. While we were there it was a white out blizzard which caused the cabin to lose power and hot water so unfortunately we had to leave early. It was difficult getting in touch with Bryan during that time and we did not receive a refund for the second day. Over all, and for the price, I would stay again. But there are some things that could be better.

Got the job done. A couple things to consider: neighbor's dogs bark at anytime, at anything, so if you have light sleepers ear plugs may be helpful. The refrigerator wouldn't get colder than 66°F and caused a jug of milk to spoil and had to throw out the rest of our food as a precaution. In adddition, the hot tub had an error and didn’t get warmer than 97°F. We stayed for 2 nights so it wasn't worth contacting property manager and hopefully it was just a bizarre circumstance with the refrigerator and hot tub

Great Stay!

This cabin was a great stay for our ski trip. The check-in process was very simple. I had snowboard rentals delivered to the cabin a day early and Bryan was so helpful by getting the packages for us. The downstairs tannate was very nice and helpful he does have two dogs and in previous reviews it said that they were very loud and such but the dogs were very quiet for the most part unless we were walking around outside. We never once had an issue with anything in the home. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed including a crockpot which most places do not have.

Great place to stay

Everything about the property was great for our trip. The hot tub was nice. Parking was ample. Plenty of room to sleep. The elevation is a little high. Drink lots of water before your stay for altitude sickness. Thank you very much for hosting us.

Great For A Short Stay

The property is as advertised! A condo with a great view, two bedrooms and a loft space with a queen and two twin beds. A large patio and a great hot tub. Lots of parking. Short walk to the St. Mary's Glacier trailhead. Things to be aware of - This is a condo, which means there are other units in the building and you can hear others in the building. It won't be as quiet of a stay as renting an entire house. There are some dogs downstairs that bark loudly, but I didn't find it to be too cumbersome during our stay. Note that the listing DOES say ONE bathroom. If you are staying with 8 people in the house one bathroom is somewhat limiting but its clearly communicated in the listing - just something to consider. Overall we had an amazing long weekend at the condo with 8 adults and two dogs and never felt cramped or lacking space. The heat works really well, the kitchen was well stocked, and communication from the host was quick and helpful.

Excellent location

Close to many great locations, St. Mary's glacier being one. The house was so close to the enterance you could walk and enjoy a hot tub afterwards. Property Manager was also very responsive.

The condo was great. The service responded to our need and concerns. It would be great to have a place to dine for the family and chairs for the deck. Great location for hiking and beautiful scenery.

Rugged mountain condo near St Mary Glacier Trail Head

The property needs some updating and it has some peculiarities, such as lighting switches for the upstairs are in the kitchen, there is no above counter switch for the garbage disposal and the ice maker in the refrigerator doesn't work. The condo is spacious but I would never share this condo with friends since it has only one bathroom.

Perfect family getaway! Great hike up St. Mary’s glacier and perfect base camp for skiing at Loveland. Comfortable sleeping arrangements. Nightly relaxation in the hot tub looking up at the stars was incredible. Thank You!

Great Location/Potential/Not Clean

We stayed at this apartment for 3 nights with our two children, and while it is an amazing location with lots of space for a family or two to spread out I would not recommend it. I will start by saying that the hot tub was clean and well maintained and the kitchen well stocked. The location is wonderful for hiking St Mary's Glacier and for a quick commute to Idaho Springs for dinner or Loveland for skiing. Where the space fell short was cleanliness and it really was disappointing because it is a space with great potential. We arrived to a primary bed that had no sheets on it, just a quilt and dirty pillow cases. The carpet was not vacuumed and had many stains and holes that had been sort of repaired. The kitchen floor was not clean and the stove had some oil marks still on it and there were dirty sheets left in the closet on the floor from previous guests. We took pictures and sent them to the owner and called to report we had slept on a flat sheet we took from another bed the first night. The owner responded in good time and came to make the bed, but did not clean the floors that had a lot of debris on them from the previous guests. The owner did reimburse the first night and a small amount for cleaning. The neighbors' dogs barked all hours of the night and the lack of cleaning just made for an uncomfortable stay overall.

Our Wedding Weekend.

Overall our experience was good! We got married at St. Marys Glacier which was a short 2 minute drive from the condo. The condo had amazing lighting with amazing views out the living room windows. Although it was great we had one major thing we wish we would have known before going there. There was nothing mentioned about the noisy live in residence on the first floor. It ended up being totally fine but I wish it was mentioned / listed it on the original listing.

Unexpected treasure

The initial impression of the property was one of mistrust. What we saw was not what was represented on the listing. Once inside our unit however the condo more than met our needs. It was close to St. Mary's glacier, the view was amazing and the hot tub and fireplace were extra treasures. Will definitely consider staying again.

Romantic Getaway

After a concert @ Red Rocks, we knew we wanted a mountain getaway for a few nights. We spent countless hours looking for a perfect property, and this definitely delivered! The private balcony with grill & hot tub are where we spent most of our time. We grabbed elk steak & bison from a Denver butcher prior to driving up to St. Mary’s. Once we got there, the plan was to not leave! The kitchen was fully stocked and we had a ton of space for just the two of us. We saw shooting stars each night from the hot tub. Everything was better than we even imagined. Added bonus: We met John at the welcome center across the street and he offered us a sunset UTV tour up at Yankee Hill @ 11,500 ft. It was all so romantic and had absolutely beautiful views. We can’t wait to come back!

Nice stay

The stay was nice. Hot tub was great. The parking lot was big but there are campers parked that folks are staying in. The deck is nice for cool breeze in the evening. Could use some chairs out there. My wife said she will come back with her group of girl friends.
