Here’s the problem $48 hidden fees per day plus $48 per day to park and the parking lot was 20 minutes from the room. There was a tram in the hotel but just one and it was slow so we had to walk at least 4 miles in 6 days. Food was average but cost $10 extra and drinks cost $22 each. The buffet was big and the view was good but $55 per person. The lagoon was amazing but they had 11 dolphins, not free to leave doing blood tests on them. Wouldn’t go back.

The hotel was really nice and the location was perfect but compare to the price you have to pay the service is not worth it. The hotel is old and rooms need renovations. It was clean but ut wasn’t perfectly clean. Restaurants located at the hotel were overpriced and food wasn’t good. It’s a really nice hotel but it needs major renovations.

Very expensive parking, plus resort tax then 5$ per person for shuttle to shopping. Key to room stopped working 4 times during our 1 week stay. 12 ham croissant, 9 $ coffee it’s not a cheap vacation but it was lovely.

Not for Seniors

Not happy with this resort. Although it is very pretty, it is hard to get round. My knees were in pain do to my Arthritis most due to lots of stairs. They have a tram Type service but it is loud & always crowded. Food & service was bad and over priced. All bars and food close at 4. So no evening entertainment. The rooms were spacious but thin walls! Also outlet in bathroom did not work. If you don’t have a car every thing is a long walk. The resort has a shuttle but charges $5 or $7 one way to go to the local shops!

All pool side bars close at 4pm. I understand the island closes early but 4pm at a pool bar is ridiculous. I would stay here again. Also the Luau at this hotel is way overpriced. Food was good but not worth $225 a person.

We loved this place so much. The dolphins can be seen whenever and my kids loved that. The lagoon is so cool we got to see surprisingly friendly sea turtles and tons of cool fish and eels, it was hard to get my kids out of it. The room was nice and all restaurants were great and had friendly staff.

Beautiful property on the ocean was very nice, multiple swimming areas were very well maintained and beautiful. In-house restaurant Nui was so wonderful we ate there twice. Would return, very pleasant experience on the big island. Sunsets were incomparable, worth a visit alone!!

Positives: it’s STUNNING to look at and the water is gorgeous. Negatives: it took 45 minutes to get from the check in to the room, since the property is so large. The tram is extremely slow, and they locked us in with no air conditioning for almost 5 minutes in 90 degree heat. No water in the rooms. House salads for $23 or a $60 bowl of pasta. A mile walk to anything off resort to eat…. It’s like a Fancy prison Parking at $50 a day is insane, and the lot is super far so you have to carry your bags very far. This location does not showcase any of the good parts of Hawaii except the beach.
