Higashiizu features an extensive selection of places to stay. Travelers can book about 16 apartments and hotels within a 6 miles (10 kilometers) drive of Higashiizu.

Some of the Travelocity-listed hotels situated just a short drive from central Higashiizu are the Isaribi and ATAGAWAKAN.

The Onyado Fugetsu Muhen and the Atagawa Grand Hotel are very close to the Atagawa Tropical and Alligator Garden. From the Onyado Fugetsu Muhen it's just a 1 mile (2 kilometers) stroll to the Atagawa Tropical and Alligator Garden. On the other hand, the Atagawa Grand Hotel can be found just 0.4 miles (0.6 kilometers) away.

The Arai Ryokan is approximately 12 miles (20 kilometers) outside the town center of Higashiizu. Another alternative is the Kazeno Kaori, which is located 11 miles (18 kilometers) away. More options in the Higashiizu area include the Kawana Hotel and the Imaiso.

The greater Chubu region is well worth exploring too. Photographers will love Chubu's beaches and mountains. In addition, you should go to a few of the region's ruins. Common things to do in this region of Japan include snowboarding, skiing and cross-country skiing.

"Breakfast buffet was great. But time to stop imposing the silly Covid-era measures in the dining area, all of which have proven to be without any scientific or medical basis. If there are guests that complain about removing such measures, they should just stay at home with their neuroses and not bother to leave their homes. Other than that, what a lovely dog friendly place to stay! The pool is great; I would just ask the management to consider revising the morning opening times which make it difficult to enjoy the pool and onsen, in addition to taking breakfast. "
