This is a beautiful property. However, although it was advertised as Breakfast included, I was charged if I wanted breakfast. I was charged for a hot cup of tea in the morning. The tea was eventually comped. After the manager explanee that booking made on Expedia, do not include breakfasts or any beverages. They do however give a ticket for a free drink at the bar. I don't drink, so I had juice.

They tried to give us a room way below standard. We had a picture of the room we paid for, but we were given a crapshoot! All they had to say was: Sorry, we're under construction. We had to demand a refund and leave, or they would get us a similar standard room. They did, sort of. They "pretend they have a bar...tender. when I asked to get ( the only vodka they had) the Absolut Vodka with Red Bull, they didn't know what that was. I asked if they had cranberry juice, she looked at me like I was stupid... We dont have that in Guatemala. Strange, because I just had it in a bar the night before. I asked if we she drinks alcohol. She said: Never! The same restaurant bartender took our order for food (two times). We asked not to have onions, add broccoli, and sauce on the side. None of it happened. To top it off, the food was grossly overpriced and had zero taste. I can assure you that no matter what you get from that kitchen, it's going to be nothing but can-food and microwave enhancements. It's below terrible. Oh, and if you ask for ice at the front desk the will lie to you and say they dont have it. Although I say the ice maker (NOT locked) in the back of restaurant. Since they dont provide a refrigerator, that's just cruel. The ambiance walking in, and their little yard is cute, but no one is making it comfortable... Not recommended in any way. I would pay $50 extra per night in Guatemala the remainder of out 10 days, not to have to go through this experience again.

Room was fine. It was a business trip but the WiFi signal was very very weak in the room and with frequent interruptions ,hard to stay present in a remote meeting. Not recommended if stay connected is a must!
