The property and car park looks very shabby but inside the rooms are clean and have everything you need for a stopover. It seemed as though there are improvements being made but aren’t finished. Some basic things could be done to improve it further. There was a broken light fitting in our bathroom, the bin in the room was broken, only one bedside cabinet, chipped crockery. All easy fixes to improve things. Blind doesn’t block the street lights so if you need full darkness this will be an issue for you. Wotif messed up our booking and we had to arrive late so it was too late to change. We had one queen bed when we had requested an additional bed for our teenager, this definitely impacted the quality of our stay. Staff aren’t available after reception closes around 7. No after hours support available. This is a motel set up not a hotel. Overall, clean, tidy and good for a one night stay. Recommend calling ahead to check they’ve booked the right room for you if you’ve used wotif or similar.

I expected budget style accommodation and for our purposes would’ve been happy with that. This accomodation though was probably below budget standard. It was so rundown on the outside that I thought it was a derelict building. The room itself wasn’t as awful and appeared mostly clean, however smelt of stale cigarette smoke. Also the sheet lifted off one of the beds and the protector underneath was stained and gross. It just had the feeling that filth lurked underneath everything. There were also terrible adult noises that went on for ages in the night and whilst this isn’t the accomodations fault I would probably avoid if you have kids with you as you can hear everything. I would never stay there alone as a female either.

Conveniently located as an overnight stop between our home (Melbourne) and destination (Shoal Bay). Outside of property looks a bit tired, but inside of the room was fine and quite spacious. Facilities OK except TV remote stopped working on the morning we left. Plenty of parking for 11 guest cars while we were there with room for about 5 or 6 more. Good location with clubs, hotels, cafes, supermarket and the town park all within easy walking distance. We've stayed before and will do so again.
