Hiker's Haven / Close to Slopes / Georgetown

Summary:
At an elevation of over 8,530 feet and only 45 minutes west of Denver, the Hiker’s Haven is the perfect spot to experience premier year-round Colorado fun. Hiking, fishing, birdwatching, historic Georgetown tours, the Georgetown Loop Railroad, shopping, art galleries, and dining are available in town. In 30 minutes, you can be hitting the slopes in Breckenridge, or in about 45 minutes, you can be exploring Denver!

The Space:
Location is the key element that separates the extraordinary from the average, and the Hiker’s Haven has that key. From fishing in Georgetown Lake to walking tours of the town to riding a steam engine train and taking a tour of an old mine, there are no shortage of structured activities for you to enjoy. If you prefer your adventures to be unstructured, backcountry streams, ponds, snowshoeing, or even skiing at the long-closed Geneva Basin are all waiting for you just up over the hill. World class groomed slopes are only about 40 minutes away at either Arapahoe Basin or Keystone. For the ultimate concert experience, plan your stay around a show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, just under 45 minutes from your doorstep. Located in the new Bighorn Crossing community, you have access to it all.
The Hiker’s Haven welcomes you with warm wood tones and a bright, cheery color palate. The oversized windows in the living room let in ample amounts of Colorado sunshine, and the additional recessed ceiling lights will keep you illuminated well after the sun goes down. Sit down and relax in front of the television, or gather around the coffee table with a map to plan your next adventure.
The kitchen has everything you need to bring your culinary dreams to reality. Bright and shiny appliances, a double sink, and tons of counter space will inspire you to create yummy delights.
Enjoy a croissant and conversation at the breakfast bar, or pull the chairs away and create a buffet-style serving area.
For your convenience, there is a powder room located off the kitchen.
Upstairs, the master bedroom has a super-comfy king bed with a view. The nightstand lamps let you read after dark, and the ceiling fan will cool the Colorado sunshine from the giant windows. The dresser and nightstands give you plenty of room for your belongings, while there is even a dressing chair with an ottoman provided for your relaxing pleasure. The master bath features his and her sinks with separate mirrors and lighting, and there is plenty of counter space for everybody. The glass door shower is perfect for cleaning up and getting steam into your lungs after a long, exhilarating adventure.
The second bedroom also has a super-comfy bed and perfectly placed window. With carpeted floors, relaxing color tones, and tons of sunshine, the art on the wall also reminds you to slow down and relax. Inhale. Exhale. It’s as simple as that. To continue with the relaxation motif, the second full bathroom offers you the opportunity to inhale and exhale while soaking in a hot bath.
There is no escaping adventure at the Hiker’s Haven because you can literally see it calling to you from any window in the house. Book your stay at the Hiker’s Haven today!

Cool location
Check in was at 4 pm and when we arrived the master bedroom's comforter was damp because the sheets on the bed were still damp/wet. We had to take sheets off and dry them. The floors in the kichen were not very clean, the rug in the livingroom had crumbs and didnt appear to have been vacuumed. Carpet was very shabby and walls marked up. This place was comfortable but just didnt seem to have been taken care of very well. It would have been nice to have had a couple outdoor chairs to sit outdide looking at the little lake.

Great Lake front townhouse!
We stayed at the hikers haven and it was exactly that! We did a ton of hiking and it was a perfect central location. About 2 hours from RMNP and only about 30 minutes from Arapaho national forest. It’s also a perfect little town for a nice dinner. Not to far from night life either in black hawk. I would definitely recommend and look forward to stay here again!

Nice place
We had a little trouble with the garage door, the TV, and the front door. However, it is a beautiful spot, and we had a great stay overall. The management company was very helpful and responsive. Thanks for a lovely experience.

Fantastic Location!! Great Mountain and lake views!!
We arrived at the Hikers Haven, and I was very pleased with the location and the views at this property! This was a graduation present for my son. You're very close to a lot of scenic trails and drives. There's brewery within walking distance with great food. Walk out the back door to the lake!! Place was clean and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of dishes for cooking, soaps and shampoos are provided. Along with plenty of paper products for the bathroom and kitchen. I will definitely be back!!

We had a perfect stay here in Georgetown. Not our first trip. We love to base here and dine and shop downtown. We also checked out St. Mary’s glacier, Vail, and Breckinridge while we were here. Loved the trip!

A great townhouse with plenty of space for everything. A garage is included. Nicely decorated. Very clean. Quiet surroundings. Go out the back door and you are on the lake. Beautiful scenery. In a wonderful area of the mountains. Close to everything. My ONLY complaint is that the satellite TV would always skip in and out but we weren't here to watch TV. I'm sure this could be easily remedied. The owner was nice and very helpful. We would rent again. Thank you!
