It was a great place for a large group celebrating a 91st birthday. The views were amazing. We really enjoyed being on the top floor with the heated pool and sitting around the fire pit.

We saw ants in the kitchen, a cockroach and stink bugs in one of the bedrooms. For the cleaning fee I would expect to see no insects. Overall nice location and fun experience.

Throughly enjoyed our family stay at Skyscraper Chalet. We had a family of 11 in our group and it was perfect. Plenty of room and privacy for everyone. The view from the rooftop was impressive. We loved hanging out up there in front of the fireplaces and the hot tub/pool was awesome! The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. If you’re hoping to see a bear…you’re in luck! Just hang out on the balcony at dusk and you will see some. They will walk right by the house. If you plan on cooking your meals in the house, bring your favorite spices, the kitchen was lacking basic spices. All of the appliances worked well. The rental company was great to work with. Answered all of my questions promptly and checked on us to see if everything was ok. I highly recommend this rental and the company. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Everything was a 10/10 experience, all my guests had an amazing time. The view is even better in person. The only thing i could complain about would be that it’s at the very top of a mountain, the drive is nice and scenic, but is very sketchy at some points is you have a large vehicle. But inside and out the place is beautiful and is just as shows if not better!

We enjoyed the place very much, only fault we had was the internet and tv service. The modem is not strong enough for the area, but the house was beautiful and had plenty of room for our family!

The hot tub was not clean when we arrived. Someone came within the hour after calling on this problem. I am not a fan of the cooktop. Had to google the instructions on how it worked. It is slow to cook on.Overall it was great. Awesome views from the roof top. Plenty of bear sightings!!

I am quite frustrated with STAYMINTY! We had multiple issues at this property including hot tub broken, exterior doors that don’t shut or lock which was scary since we had bears on the patio and property each night, aunts crawling all over kitchen counters, shower handles not working, 2 tv’s that wouldn’t work, blood stains on sheets and rain water pouring in to the living room and one bedroom during rain which I was told to mop up the water and move furniture and curtains so they don’t get damaged. Just what I wanted to do on my vacation. I spent time during each day of our stay dealing with the customer service people who kept promising a call from a supervisor which never happened until the last day only after multiple emails, texts and calls. I asked for some of our money back and was told they have 14 days to get back to me on that and now that time has passed and I’ve heard nothing back despite emailing again. I will NEVER rent from a STAYMINTY property again and don’t recommend it to anyone.

Skyscraper Chalet

The chalet accommodated our 16 family members beautifully. It is spacious and as beautiful as advertised. The feeling of privacy was great. However, an accurate gps system is a requirement. The roads up the mountain can be confusing. Also, the bears limited our ability to explore our surroundings outdoors, but even they provided a little entertainment through the windows! We loved our time in the chalet!

Thank you Stay Minty Team for the seamless process from the start. I appreciate the prompt response and for making sure our stay was memorable. The property was exactly how it was described - perfect to a group of family and friends. Though it was tricky to navigate the location at first, it eventually became second nature for us to come and go. The black bears sighting was an added bonus. There are a lot of rental properties nearby but consider this Chalet worth it. Thanks again for everything!

Beautiful big house - highly recommend

The VRBO pics are accurate and highlight the rooms/amenities perfect! Listing icons for bedrooms isn’t correct - the pics and detail comments are correct; 4 king/queen bed rooms, 1 queen over queen bunk room, and 1 room with 6 twin bunksPerfect for 16 peoplePool/hot tub on deck worked great since we had mostly adults - can’t really swim in it but great for cooling off during day or warming up at night (fits 10 adults without getting in personal space)Roof top view is gorgeous and lots of sitting options, games on 3rd floor, lots of patio space and sitting to watch the bears! All amenities were newer and very nice (bedding, appliances, showers…)Bears were cool to watch but still felt safeOnly call out is steep driveway and very tight/scary drive from town but this is for all houses on the mountain! We were able to get some very friendly Uber drivers to bring us up and down mountain for only like 30-40 per!

AMAZING CABIN but an even better Mngmt Co

We arrived during a massive storm where 80mph took down trees and powerlines preventing us from even getting up the mountain. This management company not only sent me storm updates and warnings, they provided great information on how to stay safe, and then coordinated with local authorities to get the trees and power lines fixed so that we could get to the cabin. They even put us up in another cabin until our cabin was accessible. I cannot say enough about this company and owner. Once we got to the cabin…omg it was incredible, even better than the listing pictures. The views, the decor, the beds and pillows and linens were luxurious and super high quality. The deck space and seating was stunning. We will 100% be back and I will purposefully stay with any property managed by this company. The way they handled this situation exceeded every expectation. They went above and beyond on every front.

BOOK WITH CAUTION! The chalet itself was lovely: plenty of sleeping space and a large upstairs deck with beautiful views. The drive up was a bit intimidating if you're used to flat land, but manageable. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.Several issues existed that the rental company was already aware of but did not disclose before our stay. Previous reviews mentioned the freezer malfunctioning, the ice machine not working, and mold in both the washing machine and showers—none of which had been addressed. Under normal circumstances we might have worked around or cleaned these ourselves. However, we were traveling with two infants under one year old and two older immunocompromised adults. The freezer’s inability to maintain a safe temperature meant food storage was unreliable, and the moldy washer made us hesitant to wash towels for fear of exposing our at-risk guests. The final straw was discovering MICE and droppings in and around our personal belongings on the last day. Mouse droppings can carry harmful bacteria, which again created a health risk for our group. We reported everything to Stay Minty. Their response was a 300 credit toward another stay within 12 months. They also stated they would have sent someone had we reported the appliance issues earlier—despite reviews showing they had been aware of these problems since at least November 2025. They were unwilling to come to any other resolution than one that would ultimately make them more money.

Perfect for multiple families

The property was great, exactly what it looks like in the pictures. The lower level was perfect for 5 teenagers. It had the 2 rooms with bunk beds and a king room. The kids loved having their own section of the house.Main level was a king suite, very nice kitchen and living room. 2nd level was 2 king suites and the game room. The rooftop was breathtaking views and the pool also serves as a very hot, hot tub!We had 2 issues while there. 1. The fire alarm was low on batteries and beeped all night long. Too high to reach but I messaged them in the morning and they had it fixed within the day. 2. The code to lock /unlock the front door was tricky. I found you had to push the lock button twice, not hold it in.. The property team was very responsive, cabin was immaculate and had everything we needed.Last note - google.maps really struggled to find the cabin. We had to use Apple Maps. Roads are a little scary!

Where do I even begin. While the cabin itself looked fine, the number of serious issues completely ruined our stay. The rooftop hot tub, which was a major reason we booked this cabin, did not work at all. When we arrived, it was cold, uncovered, and the water was murky. We were promised someone would come the next morning to fix it. No one ever came, and the hot tub was never repaired. The property was poorly maintained. Trash was scattered around the grounds, and the bins were overflowing. The showers were dirty, and the shower door handles were falling off. The refrigerator did not work, which caused all of the food we brought for the weekend to spoil. The freezer also did not work, and all of our ice melted.Septic tank alarms went off and beeped for hours. The host was aware this happens but never warned us. We had to walk down a steep hill and figure out how to turn it off ourselves. The most frustrating part has been the host, Stay Minty. We paid over 2,000 for two nights and were promised a luxury stay. I reported all of these issues and requested compensation. I was told to allow 10 to 14 days for resolution. It has now been over 14 days since checkout, and I continue to receive generic responses like “management is not available today,” with no resolution. This stay was stressful and extremely disappointing. I strongly recommend avoiding this property and this host.
Trash every where right under the deck when we checked in! No cleaning crew would have left it this way.
This red light blinked and had this terrible siren alarm. We had to figure out how to turn it off ourselves.
All our ice melted in the freezer.
The hot table started and stayed at 58 degrees the entire trip. We put the cover back on ourselves hoping it would heat up and never did. Huge disappointment.

We had a great time. The house is way up in the mountains with beautiful views. The management company was great, addressed all issues and communicated with me the entire time. The property could use some updates, oven dirty and the road ends near the house then gravel. It rained making it bumpy, little difficult and was glad we had large SUVs. The couch is terrible for a house that sleeps 16and roof top furniture needs replacing. Yes bears but they didn’t bother us and we didn’t bother them.
