Convenient to the Parkway
Overall, we had a great experience at this condo. It was only a short walk to the Parkway (the aquarium is less than a 10 min walk), so the location was great. The condo was clean and well-maintained. The photos were accurate, and the view from the balcony was really lovely. The kitchen was well-stocked for some basic cooking. Additionally, both beds were very comfy. (Though the pillows were all really soft. It would have been nice to have a few firmer pillows in the mix for more support.)On the down side, we were woken up almost every night of our 6-night stay between 2 and 3 a.m. by a garbage truck emptying a dumpster. (We think it was at the building next door.) My husband is a light sleeper and an insomniac, so this was really tough for him. Most nights, he was up for several hours (if not for the rest of the night) after being woken by the garbage truck. The lack of sleep really started to affect him by the end of the week. If you're a light sleeper or have trouble sleeping, this particular condo might not be a great fit.If you plan to walk to the Parkway, expect LOTS of stairs. The condo is on a hill, so it's several flights from the sidewalk up to the lowest level of the parking lot. Then, the condo is on the 2nd floor...but you have to walk up 4 flights of stairs to get there; the building is built into a hill, so it's several stories up until you reach what is labeled as the first floor.
