Pool and spa was not heated. No instructions on how to operate the spa or outdoor lights. Front door lick was broken. Microwave did not work. One set bathroom towles no kitchen towels or wash rags. Nare minimun dishes, more like left overs. All over poor quality for the price.

I had a very horrible stay. The host entered the house without announcing himself and was very rude to myself and my guests. We tried to explain to him I was setting up for brunch for my family but he thought I was having a party. He refused to listen just kept cursing and very argumentative. I didn’t want the situation to get violent so I had to be the bigger person and defused the situation. I purchased a hidden camera detector the next day and trust me went off all over the house even in the master bedroom. I felt so violated. I could locate the cameras I just wanted to get out. The AC doesn’t work on one side of the house. Everything seems to be glued together and just looks good on the outside. I would not want another family to experience what we went through.

Host Cancelled

When I hadn’t received check-in instructions, it was after our scheduled check-in, & I was only 2 minutes away, I messaged the host for check-in instructions. He called soon after to tell me that there were electrical problems & that he was cancelling, but he assured me that if I could wait to enter tomorrow morning that the wiring would be repaired. I chose not to wait because I remembered there was one negative review that stated he’d done the same to them due to electrical problems. Thankfully VRBO was wonderful & offered to reimburse us for the unplanned hotel stay & they refunded our rental money immediately.

Spacious Home

We were very pleased with the amount of space in the home. Our family of four stayed during spring break and we all enjoyed being able to spread out into separate bedroom spaces and soak up the sunshine in the relaxing outdoor space. The kitchen had new appliances, and we were able to prepare many meals using that space. The pool was very warm, and we were able to enjoy ourselves during the late morning, afternoon, and evening. The water feature from the upper to lower pool was nice and relaxing. We also enjoyed the covered area as well. There were some maintenance things that should be taken care of though. One of the bathroom sinks was not working (it had a double sink though, so it was easy to manage). The kitchen could have used a few other minor things (hot pads for oven, kitchen towels, etc.). One thing that would be good would be to provide guests with check-in details 12-24 hours before arrival. We had to reach out to the host to get house access information, WiFi passwords, etc. and would have appreciated it being sent to us without having to contact first. Max was very responsive when we did reach out and was kind enough to let us check-in a few hours early. The location was about 30-40 minutes away from the Ft. Lauderdale beaches (depending on traffic/time of day) which our family would have preferred to be a bit closer. It is in a nice neighborhood, and we were able to easily get to other areas around Ft. Lauderdale (Sawgrass Mall, etc.).

if my host would have communicated with me more… The first night we got there, the guest bathroom tub stopped up & didn’t go down.. the sink didn’t work. & when i mentioned what was wrong, the host was very hostile about it, like i was irritating him. i didn’t like that. he also stated a maintenance man will come but he didn’t.

Bad communication

Was on my way to the property. Was about noon and I text and was told could not stay because of emergency. I understand things come up but a call are text would have been nice. What would have happen if I pulled up into the drive way.i had to call vrbo and was put up in a hotel for the night.

Extended weekend stay

Propriété surprenante!

La propriété est très belle, les photos sur VRBO ne reflète pas la beauté et la grandeur des pièces. Malheureusement, lorsque que nous avons loué, nous avions bien demandé si la piscine creusée et le spa était bel et bien chauffée. A notre arrivée, nous avons constaté le contraire, une eau très froide! Nous n’avons eu aucun avertissement de la part du propriétaire. Avec des températures avoisinant les 30 degrés, la maison avait été choisie en fonction de la piscine. En clavardage avec le propriétaire, ce dernier nous a dit que cela était du à l’ouragan Nicole??? L’ouragan a frappé la côte ouest de la Floride et non la région de Lauder Hill!!! De plus , aucun aide de la part de VRBO. Si vous aimez cuisiner, apporter vos accessoires (ex.: Ustensiles, fouet, spatule, tasses et machine à café, bols, petites assiettes, BBQ, bol à salade, etc…) Sinon, à part la piscine, notre séjour fut très agréable.
