Expensive for what you get.

Not a fun state to travel thru and eat etc. taxes are excessive

Nice stay at My Place Hotel

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Parking policy
Location: I was playing in a regional pool tournament over at Embassy Suites. I had no problem finding restaurants to eat at... no grocery stores nearby.
Was in town for the weekend and found the hotel to be very nice. Upgraded and clean, the room was great. It had a refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave, but there was no eating utensils so finger food was all I could make happen :-)... a small inconvenience. Also had to ask for a second coffee bag for the second day of my stay. When you are addicted to coffee this becomes meaningful. :-) The reason I rated this hotel a four instead of five was the parking situation. Apparently there are a half dozen or so guests who rent long term there who are in the construction industry. They all have pickups with tool trailers behind them. I did not count the spaces they took up, but it had to be at least ten or twelve. This would be no big deal except the parking lot was full the weekend I visited. Had to parking out on the entrance road and carry everything in from there. So I would recommend that guests be limited to one parking space per room paid for... but that is just me. Everything else was great! Staff went out of their to be friendly and accomodating.
