Hotel Riu Palace La Mola
"Pros/Cons here Pros: super clean, decorated beautifully and every staff member was 💯 Food/drinks 💯 Location right on beach 💯 Tons of common space unless it’s raining (more in cons) Super quiet room that was spacious. Rainhead shower & huge, comfy bed. Good bedding/pillows. Cons: We had a massive storm roll in and the hotel had lots of problems from it. The storm was so significant that we had 2 emergency alerts on our phones about safety & flooding. It was raining so hard that Water was coming through the ceiling light in our bathroom. maid had towels everywhere and changed them multiple times over the course of 2 mornings (days were sunny& gorgeous). we placed the trash cans on the vanity to catch the drips. Could not believe how much water filled in the cans. Some common areas had standing water from the auto doors opening to the elements. only our bathroom was affected. We did lose power several times but generator kicked back up quickly. The staff all worked really hard and did a great job trying to clean up the rain damage and was pretty blasé about the water in our room.. like giving the vibe that this is normal in heavy rain. Water coming from a ceiling feels like a 911 to me 😂 The place is GORGEOUS but a total different experience in a storm. Not enough common areas inside to accommodate all. very kid friendly hotel so main living room space turned kid club for part of the evenings so no quiet place to go Buffet needs stricter guest sanitation rules like hand sani"
