This is a great home highlighting beautiful Smith River and redwood tree views. It has plenty of indoor and outdoor space for a family to spread out. We especially loved all the extra accommodations within the home- from extra blankets, pillows and towels to unexpected additional cooking supplies, spices, movies, and games. Being an older home, there are a few quirks, but the owners have a detailed welcome book that outlines this, it also includes great tips for things to do and see in the area. We enjoyed our stay!

Loved, loved loved this home. It was very clean and comfortable. The view of the river and redwoods from the front room, kitchen and family room are fantastic. It was quiet and peaceful. The correspondence with the owner was always quick to respond to my questions and helped me retrieve my wallet that I left behind. Everything about this house was wonderful! The host was very helpful and offered great suggestions about activities, dining and where to get groceries in the area. The house was very comfortable, well stocked to make cooking easy, and the view of the river was absolutely incredible. My boys really had fun playing ping pong in the garage, and I already miss drinking my morning coffee on the lower deck with that spectacular view of the Smith River. The small details, such as having a hummingbird feeders filled with nectar, and the fresh flowers on the kitchen counter made it really feel like home.

This is a cozy, comfortable home! We had a great time enjoying the river behind the house, and this place is very conveniently located to Jedidiah Smith state park, if you are looking to spend time in the Redwoods. The house itself has many great amenities, including games in the garage that my kids enjoyed playing with. I highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a quiet spot for a family vacation!
