It felt like this hotel was cutting corners at every turn. From only cleaning once a week to rusty and bathroom hardware, it did not feel like I was staying in a Marriot property. The toilet in my room clogged twice, there was a toenail left on the couch, and the room had a strange smell. It wasn't until the last night that a night time person at the desk named Stephanie switched my room that I was finally able to get a good rest in a room that did not feel so neglected. Stephanie was amazing. She saw that I was having a hard time in room 231 and switched my room. The room she switched me too was a little better. However, I will never book here ever again.
There was a qtip left behind the toilet. I noticed it after I checked in.

The floors were not really cleaned after the weekly cleaning service.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had what we needed. Even the breakfast had healthy options. It’s next to a mall and several strip malls, which is convenient but does not lend itself to great views out of you hotel window. That said, we had a great 3 night stay.

The front desk staff didn’t admit mistake and was rigid when giving us a room that was not we had requested for and refused to change. When we asked her to escalate and to ask her manager to help resolve this, she claimed she was the manager and refused to do anything including contacting her manager. She was not considerate and not accommodating when we had arrived in the hotel a couple of hours earlier kindly asking if we could get a favor to get an earlier checking in, and declined straight by only repeating 4pm or after without even showing any wiliness to help (other hotels including other Marriott’s would have tried to check on computer and would try all effort to happily accommodate in such a 2-hour early timeline.) Other than the experience with this staff, other hotel staff were very kind and helpful and considerate and their service were good. Some hotel facilities should be maintained better, e.g. the room temperature control should be adjustable so temperature can be adjusted to higher in cold days or the cold blown air and the noise from the air condition machine can be stopped (or the cold air flow from it can be directed away from the bed in cold days). We have been a Marriott hotels loyal customers and wish this hotel can hire capable staff on front desk to meet and help customers. Thanks!

We had the 2bdr suite and it was nice. Site is clean, staff was amazing and it's not far from the beach, Waldemar, and splash Lagoon. The mall is next door, a bowling alley that stays open until 2am and food is a 3-5 min drive. Great location.

The hotel was clean for the most part. The complimentary breakfast was good and we had a variety of options. Most of the staff with whom we interracted were pleasant and professional. However, one of the managers was extremely rude . She does not understand the concept of good customer service and the fact that it is her job to ensure that guests feel comfortable and appreciated. Because of our experience with her, we will never stay at this property again. It really left an awful taste in our mouths.
