What a super cute, tiny cabin! We only used it to shower & sleep in because we were in town for a gun show in Dripping Springs. We arrived Fri. evening fairly late, left Sat. am early, returned Sat. evening, & left again Sun. morning. I would have liked to just hang out there a little, because it's way out in a secluded area, & I bet it's nice to just relax in nature.
The cabin could definitely use a better AC. I cannot imagine how it would be to stay there in the summer (we were there in mid-April).
Also, the hot water heater needs adjustment. I took luke-warm showers, which is fine with me, but my husband likes a hot shower. We never were able to get actual hot water.
In the shower, too, water stands in the bottom. Maybe due to the cabin settling or something, the pvc pipe where the water drains sticks up above floor of the shower. I don't know if it needs to be cut off, or pushed back down under the bottom of the shower.
Despite my best efforts to keep the water inside the shower, it leaked around the curtain. It's obvious this has been an issue because the floor planks in the bathroom are stained from water leaking.
The bed was comfortable to me, but my husband said it made his back/neck hurt. The stairs going up to the bed are VERY steep. Beware if you have some drinks prior to bed. A quick trip to the bathroom at night could be dangerous!
Despite the negatives, I think this cabin has great potential & is very cute!
