Downtown Asheville , NC Pet Friendly Hotels

"Although the room appeared clean it really wasn’t. We found another guests owala bottle floating around under the dresser. No waste bags, two tissues in the tissue box and no body wash in the shower. I switched out the body was from the sink with the empty bottle, but funny enough we left a do not disturb sign outside yet someone came in and refilled the bottles but didn’t bother making the beds or anything. So why have the sign up if you’re going to go into the room while we are out. There was little option if any at all for grab and go breakfast. Wished we found out we can fill up bottles on odd floors instead of spending $10 for 3 bottles. On the upside, staff was friendly and the room was very large. If I return I may opt for another hotel as this one was really close to the highway and on the outskirts of everything. "

"The location was great. Right in downtown Asheville. Free parking was available. Room was clean.but we spent 4 nights in the hotel, there was no cleaning service at all. Nobody cleaned the room, took garbage out, change towels, made our bed. Last night we were awaken at midnight by a very loud noise coming from a drier located around the corner from our room. When I called front desk, staff member was in the middle of something and didn’t show up until I called again. She had an infant with her. Offered us to move to a different room at midnight. When we refused she said there was nothing she could do and we had to wait until the drying cycle was over. That took over 40 minutes. When I said that I want to be reimbursed for the last night stay, the owner was contacted and we were offered 20% discount for one night which came to $17. I don’t think it covered the inconvenience of not sleeping the night before 11 hours drive back home. There was another staff member involved in this situation. Neither of them even apologized for the inconvenience to us. Also, breakfast selection was very limited. "
