Fort Young Hotel
"My mom and I stayed at Fort Young for a week. My mom and I loved the atmosphere, wonderful and welcoming staff. Many went above the normal call of duty with grace and pleasure. The AC was cold, the views were breath taking, and rooms were clean. It was quiet and calming. The only hiccup were accessibility options. My mom does have mobility issues and did require grab bars in the bathroom etc. Lucky we brought her rollator. I did make the request while booking the room as well as a few week prior to our arrival. We were in the newer section (tower) and upon talking to the staff, it seems the older section (closer to the water) does have more accessibility options. I still think its possible to install bars in the newer tower sections (maybe a few rooms per floor). The tile in the shower stall can be slippy/unsafe due to water and soap. Power did go out once while I was showering. luckily it was restored a minute later but hot water was affected. It was towards the end of my shower so a cold water rinse was invigorating. Another thing to keep in mind, although Fort young has a airport shuttle service, it only caters to groups. Traverlers of 1 or 2 persons will need to get a private taxi. The proximity of Fort Young, diving, elevator and recommendations from family were all great and not something we regret. I would come here again."

Secret Bay
