"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Elgin Hotel. Our deluxe room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It also had a nice view. We loved the Victorian style of the main building where the reception, bar, lounge and library are located. All the rooms including the dining room were tastefully decorated. The antique furniture and the artifacts take you back to the colonial times. The food served in the restaurant was tasteful. What made the dining experience special was the excellent quality of service of the restaurant staff. They were extremely polite. highly efficient and attentive. Unfortunately, we encountered one problem in the bathroom. The refuse was leaking in from the bathroom next door which was certainly a very unpleasant experience. When we complained about this, the hotel front desk staff immediately shifted us to another room which was next door. The staff not only apologized several times for our inconvenience but they also made sure that we got shifted to another room immediately. All in all, we had a very nice stay."
