The number one issue is the staff my first 30 mins here really set the tone for my trip unfortunately. The guy at the gate was so rude made me feel like I didn’t belong here, and I was inconveniencing him. The valet continued my bad experience when I had to ask for help with my bags. I have a two month old so I have a lot of gear and my hands are full. I also had to ask him to take them to my room. He walked away with out handing me a valet ticket or a ticket for my bags. Then I got to the desk and I got treated like an unimportant person. I had to ask for a map. I had to ask to get my bags taken to my room. Plus I got given keys that didn’t work. The lady knew I was going to the pool and she didn’t mention it didn’t open until 9. Which would have been helpful because my stroller is loaded down with gear for the pool, a baby and a diaper bag. When I got to the pool the pool guy was pretty rude too. Told me they don’t open for 10 minutes, but it’s not what he said it’s the way he said it. Again like I’m an idiot inconveniencing him. Next was the beach attendants who continued the indifference.....

We really enjoy the private beach and proximity to the pool and other amenities. We stayed in the one bedroom suite which is a great value in the summer however as our family gets larger we may look at a larger space for our next visit. This was our second trip to Hammock Beach and we know we’ll definitely be back. We love it there!!

They have no business charging what they do here. There wasn't even complimentary water. Room was dirty. Room wasn't ready two hours after check in time. Would not give us a late check out. Adult only pool was full of kids. Food was horrible. The staff was friendly enough, but whoever runs this place is a joke.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: The food, cleanness, accurate description of the GOLF COURSE being CLOSED.
Location: Stay in St Augustine! Not here.
We stay at numerous resorts. This should not be labeled a resort. I booked online months ago. When we got there our villa was not ready so we went to Atlantic Grill for lunch. 1/2 of the restaurant had water damage, seating was limited. I ordered soup to warm up because it was raining & cold. The soup came out cold. I let the waitress know & she offered to reheat it after I was done eating. We also ordered a pizza, burger & grilled cheese. It was ok. After lunch our villa was done. As soon as I walked through the door I was so grossed out. Everything was smelly & dirty. I wouldn’t even walk on the carpet bare foot. I then spent the next 3 hours trying to get another suite. The manager on duty, Kevin told me it would be an extra. I agreed. The weather was horrible the entire time so we couldn’t use the beach or pool. When it wasn’t raining we borrowed bikes & rode along the golf cart paths (the course was closed due to hurricanes in the past). The grounds and ocean views are beautiful. There were no activities for our 4 year old. She was very bored. Upon checking out I was charged extra for my “upgrade” when I only had to upgrade because the room was nasty. Also, to my surprise I was charged to park my vehicle...that was a total surprise too. Clearly this “resort” had to nickel & dime us since there were losing money from the closed golf course a

Always the best vacation.

Hands down the most fun vacation destination. Waves are huge, beach is level and sand only (no rocks to avoid when in the ocean), hotel is gorgeous, staff is extremely helpful, and the price cannot be beat. Our second time at Hammock Beach Resort and already booked for a third stay. I brought all three of my kids by myself and stayed in a one bedroom suite (plenty of room) for three nights and spent less than $1000 for everything (room, food and fun). No kidding. First class vacation without the first class price tag.

Great Anniversary Stay

I was a little weary about booking this resort due to some of the reviews, but I'm glad I did. I'm not sure what some reviewers are talking about when they said staff was rude, property looked old, or elevators being slow. Thankfully, my boyfriend and I didn't experience any of that. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with ocean view in the main tower. Staff was great and helpful. The room was great. Very roomy and had a huge tub in the bathroom. Very relaxing. We didn't dine onsite, but we did frequent the beach and pools. My only peeves would be having to call concierge for ice. It was delivered timely, but why make that something we can just get on our own? And the having to charge everything to the room. Not a fan, but worked around it. Overall a great romantic stay, we'll definitely be returning.
