"Both rooms we were provided upon check-in were dirty, one where the bathroom hadn't been touched upon the previous guests leaving and the other had dirty socks in the bed. We were offered different rooms but on different floors. In order to be on at least the same floor together, one room had to be downgraded. This option was going to be OK, but they would not adjust the rate. We paid double the price of one room compared to the other exact same room. When we asked if there were any other options, maybe an upgrade due to all our inconveniences, they wouldn't even look (although the sign right behind the desk said to ask about upgrades). We received a call later that evening offering breakfast or dinner for our group as an apology, this was nice and we accepted the dinner offer for the next night. However, after three attempts to get the dinner voucher, no one was able to help us. There were no amenities aside from a small indoor pool and two hot tubs on a small side deck. Neither were inviting. We still do not know what the "resort fees" covered. No air conditioning. Common areas were old, drab and worn. Allowing pets was not a problem, except odors and dog hair in the elevators. I'm not sure what was worse, the smell of dog urine or the cleaning supplies used to cover the initial odor. Of the 3-4 employees we encountered, none seemed motivated to provide a welcoming experience."
