We stay specifically at Residence in by Marriott whenever we travel. We get a 1 or 2 bedroom suite. They always have a sleeper sofa. This one in Coralville did not even though the listing says 1 bedroom king suite sleeps 3. Staff said the 3rd person just sleeps on couch. They changed me to a studio

The location is convenient for us to visit family. Room was clean and comfy. We appreciate having a space that isn't cramped and where we can store and make food. The breakfasts are adequate. Love the hot water being available all day. The hot chocolate bar was a nice treat. A couple of glitches this time: 1) There was blueberry compote on the floor in front of the elevators for days. We were there during the holidays, so they likely were understaffed, but it was really noticeable. 2) Our first night we had barely warm showers. When we reported it, we were told that someone would be coming to check it. We just assumed it was fixed and jumped into the shower to discover it wasn't warm at all this time. We had to get large bowls of hot water from the sink and pour it over each other so that we could wash off the soap and shampoo. When we went to the desk with dripping hair to report this, we immediately were given a new room that had no problems with hot water. The person apologized and said we should have been moved after the first night.

Staff sat in lobby with belongings everywhere, looked unprofessional. Were unable to help with and HDMI cable. Shower curtain needed to be replaced, and the bathroom mirror needed maintenance. Entire property probably needed taken care of.

Friendly staff clean room smelled nice and great breakfast. The only thing i did not like was only w towels in the room but the maids gave us some. And they charge you 20 dollars a night for coincidentals and i still havent seen mybrefund on that. We left the room.spotless but its a charge above and beyond your room rate. Also they were taking the hot tub out.

The bathroom had black mold in the shower in thee corners and side walls, the fridgerator looked like someone spilled grape juice as it was all over the inside. The bed was too soft, i woke up several times because my back was hurting so bad, and for being a handicap room, the furniture sat very, very low. Television selection was poor. I was very disappointed in my atay and dont think it is someplace i would recommend it to anyone.
