Nice Neighborhood

Very nice family friendly neighborhood, big backyard for the kids to run around and plenty of places to sleep. 10 minute or less drive to most everything you need, very convenient location.

Cleaning and Maintenance are not a Priority

We book this house for a gold trip during the Masters and the location was in a nice neighborhood. The house was comfortable but alot of the surfaces were sticky to the touch. The beds themselves were comfortable and clean but kitchen and bathrooms could use a deep clean. Many walls had fingerprints or smear makrs from unknow substances. This has been mentioned in many reviews though it seems to remain. There was a large hole in the ceiling of the guest bathroom, there are many unfinished patches on walls throughout the house and once again has been mentioned in previous reviews but still remain. The house worked just fine but seems that the minimal effort is being done to maintain it. Our cost during the Masters week was quite high and expectations were not met.

It’s a nice house in a nice neighborhood was quiet and cozy could have used a few more amenities and cleaning crew needs a little more attention to detail but was clean and was excellent for the price.

Helene evacuation

Found this place and booked it right away after the hurricane hit and left us without power for several days. This was one of the few houses on VRBO that wasn’t price gouging. Excellent response from owners.

House needs TLC

Location in Lexington was good. House was a nice size. The rest was underwhelming relative to the price per night paid. There was a missing smoke detector in master bedroom, Walls in bathroom were dirty and carpet was stained. Furniture is well worn and damaged. The house had numerous areas where drywall was repaired with unfinished repairs. 2nd bath had several areas of unfinished drywall repairs and a missing towel rod. 2nd bedroom has carpet that was not clean and a broken window that was covered with cardboard. Yard was not kept up and it was obvious this was the “rental” in the neighborhood. I don’t like leaving these reviews, but when you spend over $1k to stay in a house for 2 nights, there are expectations of what you will receive. And this house needs a lot of work to justify that price point

Maintenance needed

House needs some much needed maintenance and cleaning. Issues with a/c, internet during stay and window broken out from previous guest wasn’t fixed during 12 day stay.

VRBO should not advertise this place

We are a group of 4 senior ladies traveling for golf and to go to the Masters. We chose this home because of the descriptions and it was only about 60 miles from the Masters. First impressions… The driveway was full of garbage. Called the owner. It took 2 days to get someone over there to get rid of this stuff. We were greeted by a disgusting smell inside. Not sure whether it’s just because no one has been there or if it’s some sort of chemical used by the cleaners. Opened the windows and aired out the place, but it never really went away. Sofa – both sides sloped significantly toward the middle. When sitting here you needed to put a pillow under one side of the cushion to try to level it out. Every piece of furniture and all furnishings are the absolute cheapest we have ever seen. No idea where anybody could even find this stuff. Whoever set this house up has never stayed in a decent VRBO property. Matching lamps on night stands… one works and one doesn’t. The one that doesn’t work is missing a button to turn it on. TV – no reception. We had to sign up for a streaming service to be able to watch the Masters. Only one TV in the house. There’s a broken desk in the living room. Looks like somebody may have sat on it. Microwave is too small to pop popcorn. There’s not enough room for the bag to expand or the turntable to turn. Refrigerator does not have an icemaker. One broken ice tray in there so we had to make a trip out get ice. The curtain rods are very cheap and curtains even worse. Did not provide any privacy or room darkening. Walls are very dirty. Kitchen wall looks like it has mold on it (the wall shared with the garage). All of the baseboards were dirty and the edges around the bathroom fixtures and sinks. Sink in the master bathroom was stopped up. I told the owner about it. He said “there should be some draino in there”. Couldn’t find any so he had some delivered. It did not work… drain still clogged. I don’t know how the cleaners cleaned the place without noticing the stopped drain. There are 4 of us and 2 of us each had 2 bath towels. The 4th had one small towel. Some of the towels and washcloths should be used as rags. Owner did send some additional towels over when we complained. We were all so disappointed. We wanted to leave a few days early and move to a better place, but this owner said he would not give us a refund for the remaining days. BTW, I have NEVER left a review like this for anything before.

Good property.

We enjoyed staying in the home and the location was good. We were in town for a medical procedure for a family member and it was good to have a nice place to come to each night after being at the hospital every day.
