Great house in a great neighborhood!

This is a beautiful craftsmans house in a beautiful subdivision. There are nearby pickle ball courts, driving range and dog park. I couldn’t have picked a better spot to enjoy the cool fall mountain air.

Mountain Retreat

Our family had a wonderful time in this modern craftsman cabin. It is the epitome of cozy, efficient and peaceful. We relaxed both in front of the fire and in the very nice 3 season room. Pet friendly was a bonus as we brought our Brittanys. We enjoyed the dog park, driving range and playground as well as a competitive round of putt putt. located in the community. The host was great, always responsive and helpful. We would definitely recommend and visit again.

Quite & Peaceful

The home sits on a beautiful mountain top inside a lovely gated community. The cabin is beautiful with a cozy fireplace and a screened-n-porch for extended living space. It is perfect for couples or up to four people . We enjoyed playing mini golf as one of the amenities provided by Chinquapin Community. Pickle ball, driving range, nature trails, and the clubhouse were additional amenities for consideration. The owners were very attentive and checked in with us several times to ensure we were settled. We will definitely rent this home again.

Beautiful Home!

Things were everything we expected. If your not use to mountain roads be warned it’s very windy to get to but nothing that can’t be handled if you take your time. With that it has beautiful views. We couldn’t ask for anything more! The towns of Cashiers and Highland are very beautiful and loved spending the days shopping.

Everything You Need

The best part of staying in Chinquapin was the fact that you could arrive and then never leave, short of going for supplies. We hiked 8+ miles every day and still only explored a third of the property. The waterfalls were great and rivaled most in the area, especially when you factor in that you could have them all to yourselves. Want to kayak on the local lakes, help yourself to Chinquapin's. We sadly never got around to putt-putt, every time we walked over there the dogs would pout and convince us to hang out in the expansive grassy fields. The hosts were fantastic, always a text away, and we never had to wait for a response. Their home was the perfect size for our family of 3 (+ two dogs) and they made sure that we didn't need anything. It seems like most places we stay at you get a single item (dish soap, paper towels, trash bag) and then you're on your own. It was really nice to not have to worry about that. The snack collection was also must appreciated with how much hiking we did. We'll definitely be coming back to stay in Chinquapin, hopefully Firefly will be available when we do.

Perfect relaxing with teens

Traveling for a "Schools Out" celebration from Florida with our two teen girls and our little dog. The weather was perfectly cool and the area was perfect for our teens and their friends that stayed in another home on the property. We all had a great time. The house was perfectly located by the Outpost, pickle ball courts, putting green, putt putt and driving range. We will stay again. We all loved it!

Perfect mountain home for a small family getaway

With its fishing, driving range, hiking trails and pickle ball, our family of 3 adores Chinquapin and visits frequently. We love the charming 'Firefly' cabin because it's walkable to all the activities yet still feels private and serene. It's clean and very well equipped. We hope to visit again soon.

Great Getaway!

We loved our stay at this property and the neighborhood of Chinquapin! Very sweet hosts that communicated before and during our visit to make sure we had what we needed. The cabin was well stocked and snacks upon check in was a nice touch. Our two dogs were with us and the community dog park is so close to the cabin as is the club house, driving range and pickle ball courts. It was also a close drive to Cashiers and the grocery store and even though it was winter, we had plenty to do. Panterstown hiking trail is a 10 minute walk from the gate and I highly recommend if you like hiking. Overall, a well appointed and great place to stay!

Wonderful mountain retreat!

The home is well appointed and has everything you need for your stay, plus more! The house is located right next to the Outpost where you can enjoy the driving range, putt-putt, a fire pit, dog park and more! Several hiking trails are located a quick walk from the house. The owners provided us all of the information needed for our arrival and even helped us locate the disc golf course! We arrived to a beautiful home and well-stocked snack basket, which was perfect after our long drive. We highly recommend this house for your mountain retreat! We will be back again!

Respite for the weary

Firefly was beyond wonderful to experience. It was away from everything and yet you could be in Cashiers in 20 minutes, if needed. The home was so beautifully decorated and the design was well thought out. Anyone needing a break or escape from hectic life can regain some sanity here. The outdoor areas were inviting and easy to access. Our pups loved romping safely in the dog park. We would return here happily and often!!
