Troubling

It is truly a shame because this property is in a nice area and the house has such potential. But it is mismanaged totally. The host is far from a super host and I found out from a Vrbo support specialist that -unlike airb*b all you have to have is a 4.5 rating to get a super host rating. I have traveled extensively and rented more than 150 rentals over the past 10 years. I have never experienced a mismanaged listing like this. It started when we first check in with no information whatsoever except the code to get into the front door. That was it. I had to hunt for the wifi password which was on a piece of paper hidden behind the tv in the living room. I had to contact the "host for details on recycling. Where I live -and I suspect everywhere else- if you put the incorrect items in the recycling bin you can receive a summons. I was just trying to do the right thing. But according to the host I was the neediest guest he had every had - a direct quote in a message he sent me the day after the front door lock stopped working and we were out in the cold talking to a Vrbo support person because neither the host nor the cohost were responding to my messages, texts or phone calls. As matter of fact Vrbo support called both of them at least four times and each time it went into voicemail. We were finally able to get in using a back up lock box - when the host finally answered the Vrbo support person after midnight! This place is the most mismanaged location I have ever

Our stay at this property was absolutely fantastic! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and took care of us from the moment we arrived until our departure. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated, making us feel right at home. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Highly recommend!

LOCKED OUT

When we arrived at the property we were excited for our stay. Everything was clean and in order. After exploring the property, we could not find the hot tub that was listed. I contacted the owner and received a sarcastic response and then for some reason they shared the private booking and personal contact information of a previous renter. We had a really nice stay though up until the last night when we got locked out. It was Christmas night and raining. The property has an electronic keypad that was disabled for some reason. We called and texted multiple time and didn’t get an answer until the next morning. We called VRBO and they tried calling to no avail. There were no emergency measures in place in case this happened. The next morning we received a text message, from the property owner, letting us know that there was a lockbox with a key. This information should have been given to VRBO in case of emergency. We ended up having to find a hotel room for the night which made things extremely stressful the next morning. Once we heard from the owner, we only had two hours to get back to the house, pack up all our things, and get our family on the road because we had an event to get back to. Excuses were made insinuating that maybe we had messed with the modem (which we had not). We didn’t even know where the modem was. We were reimbursed the nightly rate with no additional concessions for the couple of hours that we spent in the rain and the cold, trying to sort this out.

Was ok

The house was nice but, Unable to use the pool. No dressers in rooms, no where to put clothes. Limited hangers. We are all over 65 years of age and all dishes were in all bottom cabinets. No upper cabinets, was a little strange. Don’t get me wrong, it's a very nice home, just no set up for older people. Younger couples with kids would be perfect. We came from West Coast, and found a note in one of the drawers that if we gave the house a low raiting that I would be removed from being able to rent home again. Unbelievable, I wouldn't anyway. The owner seened to be very nice, so I was very surprised to fine that note. I took a picture of it. I house is nice but could use a few upgrades that I mentioned. I wish the Family all the Very Best and continued Success in renting their nice Home!. Many Blessings to you all and Thank you.

Great place!

The property and picture descriptions were accurate. The home was very clean and host responded quickly to questions. The home is about 20 minutes from Uptown which was not too far to attend a Knights game!

Beautiful home away from home

We love our stay at this beautiful home. It's was very clean and located in a nice quiet neighborhood. We loved the private pool and the beds were very comfortable. My sons almost loved the basketball hoop. Kitchen had everything we need. We would definitely stay here again when we in Charlotte. The owner was understanding and was very responsive to our needs.
