I have some safety concerns about the Days Inn hotel located on Blairs Ferry Road in Cedar Rapids. I stayed there last night. I checked in late, about 12:30AM. I got settled in my room and about 1:30-1:45AM, I hear voices outside of my door. I then heard a key card click on my door and the door flew open. I had the safety latch so the door stopped because of that. I immediately tried to call the front desk from the room phone, which did not work. It did not have a dial tone. I had to look up the number for the hotel and call from my cell. Finally I got ahold of the front desk and asked why someone had a key to my room and tried to enter. I guess I was put me in the 'wrong room' and I have been accused of not 'Signing the Registration' when I checked in, which I went through the whole process and put my card on file, front desk asked for my license, etc.. Safety is my main concern. There was no checks on the room situation, just handed out another card for the same room. The phone does not work in the room. I did not sleep well as I was worried for my safety. I can say I will not be staying there. I am probably not going to be staying at Days Inns and possibly any Wyndham hotel in the future.
