Very quiet

We wanted a weekend getaway away and found it in this quant rental that was just a few blocks from town. The home was very clean and had all the comfort of home. From sitting outside in the screened in porch drinking our coffee too taking a walk and watching the sunset over the water. We rented a golf cart during the day to get around. It was the perfect weekend.

Great location

The property is located in a quiet neighborhood and within walking distance of the ocean or downtown. The layout of the cottage makes it feel larger than 700 square feet. I would definitely recommend.

Mellow Yellow cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We love Cedar Key, it is a friendly, beautiful island. The people there are helpful and friendly. The screened in porch was our favorite place to be, enjoyed the sounds of nature and quiet.

Cozy cottage near town

This house was fantastic. Cozy old cottage loaded with charm and a screened in porch that was amazing. Close to everything. We brought bikes so once we parked the car we never needed it again. The cottage had everything we needed and check in was a breeze. Definitely recommend this gem!

Pure relaxation

Great location within an easy walk of downtown, first bridge, and historic school and cemetery. House was like being at home - fully equipped with whatever is needed. Quiet time on the back porch, jigsaw puzzle on the table, good shower and night's sleep.

2020 Birthday in Cedar Key

We have been celebrating my wife's birthday in Cedar Key for nine years and it is always quiet, relaxing, and we eat too much. Mellow Yellow lived up to its name as it was really in a quiet neighborhood and within walking distance to Annie's for breakfast. Breakfast was really more like an early lunch because we were able to sleep peacefully. Annie's was kind enough to throw an egg on the BLT even though we were looking at the lunch menu. But this is about our stay at Cathy's place. It was comfortable and as I mentioned quiet and well appointed. A real Cedar Key home complete with a certificate of her father's prize winning fish. I loved the fact that we could book and pay immediately because the vacancy showed on the calendar. There was no waiting on the owner's or manager's approval. You paid and were booked; perfect. We loved her father's home and will be back. Thank you Cathy!

If you are looking for the perfect place in Cedar Key for your getaway, look no further. Mellow Yellow is a great little house that is tastefully decorated, has many things already there that you might need, and we found it to be a comfortable home base. Not only that, but it is so close to town that you can walk there if you so choose. Had the weather not been so unseasonably cold, that's exactly what we would have done. Everyone in town is gracious and accommodating, from the shopkeepers to those working in the restaurants and even residents you might meet. All are full of information only locals can give you. Would we stay at Mellow Yellow again? Absolutely!

Exceeded Expectations

Celebrated my birthday over the weekend and this was a perfect location close to shops and restaurants but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of downtown nightlife. We didn't use the kitchen but it was obviously well stocked for all you cooking needs. The screened in porch was my favorite,, nice area to relax and enjoy the cool breeze. Must complement the housekeeper, after our departure we went into town for last minute sightseeing and souvenir shopping. The housekeeper noticed we left one piece of luggage behind and contacted Cathy who promptly contacted me and I was able to go back and retrieve it. So a big thank you to Cathy and to the housekeeper. We would definitely stay here again. John and Madeline New Port Richey, Florida

Mellow Yellow lives up to it's name.

Parking room for a boat or trailer, truck and golf cart. Located near the market and with a golf cart, everything is close. Electrical outlets for charging are located outside by the front door. Mellow Yellow is a comfortable place to stay. We certainly enjoyed our time there and explored the island thoroughly. On our last fishing trip to the pier, we hooked a 30" + Red Drum.
