Amazing Mountain Cabin

Fantastic views, great rustic mountain decor. Fantastic, comfortable beds, each bedroom with a full bath. Well stocked kitchen. This is a very cozy, fun home. Fantastic games for the whole family (billiards, shuffleboard, foozball table). Great internet access and televisions for entertainment. Strong positive review!

App State graduation

This was our second stay at the Ponderosa, and in our eyes, it remains the ultimate mountain vacation home!! The kitchen is stocked with all the creature comforts, views are breathtakingly beautiful, living and dining rooms are large and comfortable, and the game room is just so fun!! If you're looking for a weekend getaway or hosting an App State graduation party, you will find your perfect destination in Ponderosa 1887!! We can't wait for a return trip!

Great home

We loved this property! The house was outfitted for everything we needed from kitchen essentials to incredibly comfy beds. The game room was a huge hit with our family as was the outdoor deck with beautiful views. A great home that we hope to visit again soon!

Little Gem in the mountains

I really loved this house and the ease of getting to it. I always get nervous with the mountain roads but this was just fine to access. The house was so well appointed and decorated that you feel right at home. The beds are super cozy, we just didn’t realize that we didn’t have enough beds for kids which was our issue so we brought a cot. The view is very pretty but does have a house in very close proximity that is right off the main deck. Our first two nights, that house had a dog outside that barked every time we tried going outside to enjoy the air so we just stayed inside as a result. Not sure if the dog was from a renter or the owner though. You will love this house and our favorite was the game room!! We did not get the complimentary wine that others have mentioned but that’s ok, there are plenty of local wineries to grab your own bottle. Thank you Ponderosa owners for a great birthday weekend.

Very Relaxing

Very nice stay, very clean and had everything you would need for a short or long stay. Nice hot tub. Very very minor issues would be didn’t have the piece to play the air hockey game witch was one of the big reasons why we chose this cabin. Plus the AC until was a tad too loud. Other than that really great place. But honestly very luxurious stay.

Weekend Getaway

The property was perfect! The house was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The kids enjoyed playing upstairs on the pool table, shuffleboard and foosball games. The decorations throughout the house were so unique and interesting. We would stay here again no doubt if we go back to the area.

Great stay at The Ponderosa!

The cabin is really beautiful and very well decorated, it has Mountain View’s from every window. It is super well equipped. Kitchen has everything you need and more including condiments of all sorts. The bathrooms do have a welcome kit with shampoo, soap etc. and the towels are awesome. This cabin is really what a luxury hotel offers and more. We really enjoyed the game room, despite having a dat with bad weather we did not even care because the house is so nice you don’t need anything else else. Kudos to it’s owners and the property management crew! Recommended 100%!

Mountain Cabin

The cabin was beautiful and well equipped. Game room was excellent. It was one of the best we have seen. Great location close to stores and activities. We wish that there were more towels. Also, We appreciate the need for security for this nice property. However we found all the outside camera surveillance a bit creepy. We had two 16 year old young ladies with us and found the camera at the hot tub not appropriate. Other than the cameras everywhere we found this cabin to be an excellent place to stay

Summer getaway!

The Ponderosa offers more than you can imagine—amazing views, chef’s kitchen, comfy beds, crazy fun game room and uniquely themed atmosphere leaving you both inspired and in awe of the special touches found throughout the home. As we were leaving, we all agreed-this home is truly special. So thankful for our time here making memories to be celebrated for years to come. Gorgeous!

The inside and outside of this property was perfect! Check in was easy, the complimentary bottle of wine was a sweet gesture, and the cabin was spotless. The views from the front and back porches were amazing. This house was also the best stocked house we've stayed at; just bring your clothes and some food and you are set!

We loved The Ponderosa!

The Ponderosa was amazing! The house was very clean and welcoming. It had everything we needed for cooking and eating. We thoroughly enjoyed the spacious deck, the beautiful views, the complimentary wine, the hot tub, the game room, the fire pit and the comfy beds!
