"We loved The Ascend, very close to the train station and downtown. The staff was great, shout out to Kumon who was of great help recovering my daughter’s lost backpack. Absolutely recommend it… best stay in Japan! "

"We really enjoyed our stay in one of the four top floor suites on the top floor with a nice view of the surrounding hills. The room was incredibly spacious by Japanese standards (actually by any!) and we enjoyed making our own breakfasts and the various welcome drinks in our large fridge. Very friendly staff who gave us a good recommendation for a reasonably priced nearby restaurant to enjoy the local Hida beef (ubiquitous on menus though we never saw a cow!)."

"I was just studying property just 10 minutes easy walk from the bustling Centre Takayama. Fantastic facilities with multiple dining options. The food was delicious. We had a wonderful kaiseki dinner, just be prepared to eat a lot. The courses kept coming beautifully prepared and so worried. All the staff are fantastic it more than matter expectations on every account."
