"Vacation was great. The hotel is well maintained and the service is excellent. We didn't have WiFi service in our room and they provided a modem for a wireless connection. The beach is small and not the greatest, but pools are nice. They should have recycling bins and not just garbage bins. Also the tour we booked to Knossos and Heraklion was just a private taxi taking us around and the taxi driver wanted to finish the tour as soon as possible. Not the nicest. Overall, our stay was great. My kids loved the pool and the kids' club. The young ladies who played with and entertained the kids were extremely nice and friendly."

"This was our favorite stop in our trip to Crete! The staff was all amazing! Very welcoming to all. As an American, this was very comforting. The location is excellent and they had the best food in Chania!!! "

"We had an amazing stay at the Samaria. The staff are extremely accommodating, kind and welcoming. They let us store our baggage upon early arrival and also let us check out later due to a late flight. We use the 15 Euro per day parking valet which we found very easy as well. It’s also on a short (about 8 min walk) to old town and the lighthouse waterfront of Chania. Also the breakfast included in our stay was delicious with lots of options. I would stay again! "

"Five nights here was incredible!! The balcony helps so much to have your morning tea or coffee or a beer/cocktail when you’ve come home from a long excursion. This spot is so conveniently located and within walking distance to so much! The parking lot across the street is also very convenient. It’s just 15 euros a day which the hotel helps you coordinate payment for. The breakfast that was included was some of the best! Great options for all food types and the beautiful patio out front was such a treat to have breakfast in every morning. All in all a wonderful stay and will definitely recommend this spot to any of my future travelers. "

"Superb new hotel. Welcoming and impressive staff. Very good facilities. We had an ocean view room with jacuzzi which was was large, spacious and in very good condition. The balconies were lovely catching morning and evening sun. It’s a 2 min walk to the sea and small beach along with a range of excellent restaurants (Fourgatos we especially liked with the wonderfully Manos the owner). It’s a 10 min walk to the old town. The pool is lovely and good for sunbathing. The breakfast buffet extensive. My only minor issue is the pillows are all microfibre rather than feather or down so I found them very lumpy and the bedsheet didn’t seem to fit the bed so kept coming off in the night. Otherwise amazing. Highly recommended "
