I wish that my stay could have been longer!!!
Pros:Intimate and chic getaway by the beach that positions you for relaxation or exploration - whatever your vacation goals!

The Ashore Hotel has stylish, clean and highly functional rooms, a great little heated saline pool where I took a nightly dip before bed, games to play in the cute little lounge area that also serves snacks and local beers / wines, movies and bikes to borrow ( I did both, and yes, they have a copy of The Goonies in case your plans involve stalking locations between Cannon Beach and Astoria!), and the nicest staff imaginable.
Just a short stroll puts you on the beach, and it's a great beach to relax, swing on the swingset (!), and watch the sunset. If sightseeing / nature is more your idea of a good time, it's a great base to explore both North and South on the Northern Coast. I did a thorough expedition that included as far south as Manzanita (tint beach town) all the way to Astoria (great breweries!). Not to be missed is Haystack Rock, at Cannon Beach, and a stop at Short Sands Beach, which is a magical spot with a hike through a beautiful forest, rivers, waterfalls, great surfing, soft sand, pretty rocks, and eagles. For real.
Overall, I was thrilled with my stay and can't wait to return!
