Do not book if you have an evening arrival.
Warning, do not book here if you have an evening arrival time and a risk of delay. My flight was delayed and upon reaching the hotel at 11pm, I was informed by phone that it was impossible to be let in and the guy hung up on me. Was then stranded outside with no hotel and no taxi. Apparently, the small print suggests a last check in time, but who can foresee flight delays. AVOID at all costs.

Absolutely worst choice for a room.
Crazy to me this place is rated as high as it is. Rooms were terrible with barely functioning AC. ALL 3 rooms we were given all had mold in the bathroom. We were using this for our last night in rome, so just decided to have a late night and sleep on the plane.

My son & I stayed at the Prassede for a few days. It was extremely clean. To be quite frank I was pleasantly surprised. The place is old & an at first site appeared to be in a sketchy part of town. But after exploring Rome. That is just the way Rome is. We were literally 10 mins from the Coliseum by walking, 3 blocks from Termini station & 2 metro stops from Fountain Tervi. The area was safe even at night. The hotel was an international melting pot with school kids from Germany, an elderly woman from SC & Italian nationals. It's no where near a 3 star hotel. It is clean & safe.
