Aloha Margaret, sorry to hear that you found our five restaurants to have limited hours and menus. We have at least two restaurants per meal with diverse menus, sorry that we did not exceed your expectations.

Grand Hyatt Kauai is my happy place! I believe this was our fourth or fifth stay at the hotel, so we have had opportunity to see changes over time. While the visitors to the hotel this time seemed lacking in class (leaving pool towels and coffee cups in the hallways), the staff remained of the highest quality. There were some renovations being done on one side but this did not impact our enjoyment of the hotel and the lovely grounds. The food at the restaurants and the terraces was excellent and, again, service was excellent. Front lobby staff, housekeeping staff, and valet staff all were gracious and accommodating and provided their services with aloha. Thank you all for another wonderful stay!

I liked the pools and beach access. The drinks were priced high especially if staying and using the pool area all week.

Mahalo for sharing your experience at the resort. We look forward to future stays. Aloha!

Beautiful property. Location was great and close to other dinning and shopping options. Not overly crowded. Also had a beautiful beach with hiking options nearby. Beach (like most on Kauai) is not kid friendly. Waves and current too strong for small kids. Food options at the hotel were limited. We ended up eating off site most of the time. We did have dinner at Tide Pools restaurant one night and it was very good, but pricey.

Had issues with booking excursions. We booked the 90 minute which we were told by the Grand Hyatt concierge was confirmed. We booked on Sunday the morning we arrived to insure we were all set to do the tour before we left Wednesday night. We would never have booked a flight that was not happening for sure to avoid what has just happened. We then we a call yesterday saying the flight was never confirmed so we switched to the 60 minute (only staying with your company because I confirmed with the girl on the phone that JH are only ones who do doors off & that we wanted to do the doors off.) Then we show up just now & they tell us no it was never confirmed for the 90 & the one we are going on is doors on. Feeling super scammed & like we were given incorrect info just to lock us into a flight with you guys with no cancellation because it was booked within 24 hours. Both the clerk at your company & the conceirge are blaming it on the other person, yet no one is offering us resolution to this issue. I live on Oahu & brought my dad out here to have an amazing experience & it was very stressful & was not what we were told it would be. As far as the confirmation proof requested by whoever I was speaking to on your Instagram - All I was given was a ticket from the concierge which I gave to the clerk at the desk when we got your location, did not receive any email or anything, but he should have the ticket we gave him from the concierge I appreciate your attention with this matter.

Great time

Found the hotel/resort to be everything as reviewed. Lovely setting, great amenities, good food and pool with lazy river. It's a large resort but easy to get around and the ability to self park was a plus. We were surprised by the refillable water bottles and resort/pool bag in the room. Refrig and coffee maker were handy. All in all, great place to stay.

Great quality and service

The staff was unfailingly delightful. Although this is a big resort, it never felt crowded at all, which was remarkable. Very family and kid-friendly, but we (a middle-aged couple) had a great time as well. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. The pools are amazing. They are not square--they have natural volcanic rock sides and are a series of interconnected pools. Some are designated for 14+ ("adults") only. There is a lazy river connecting some of the pools so you can float away. There is also a saltwater lagoon that they constructed, surrounded by sand, so you can get the full beach experience without worrying about dangerous currents (a significant concern in the area). The concierge staff (contracted out to Expedia) was super-knowledgeable and helpful, for everything from excursions to dinner reservations. If you need a towel for an excursion, you can get one from the valet and return it when you get back to the resort. Towel are also available at the pools. If you didn't rent a car when you arrived at Lihue airport, you can rent from Avis right in the hotel lobby. Because the resort is so large, you end up doing a lot of walking, so that's something to be aware of if you have mobility issues. My husband had an excellent massage at the spa. Overall, it is an expensive place, but it was a great experience. I also appreciate how they have gone green--they provide reusable water bottles and have bottle

The layout of the hotel

Pros: The hospitality , the staff the set up , layout of the hotel the views.
Cons: Prices in the food specially at breakfast and drinks a little bite high
Location: The shopping area Kukulula, nice restaurants,1849 EXCELLENT, Icecream at Lapperts. North shore is worth visiting, ATV Tour!!!Catamaran to see caves
The set up of the lagoon , river and pool facilities make the view and the spaces private and comfortable to enjoy at any point form the rooms a great view , at the pool you have space and privacy form other guest and the are for the children is nice to enjoy as well . The location is excellent, very close to Poipu and restaurants , for a night out . The beach at the hotel is very nice and with easy access and with no rocks as the other beaches. The staff is very helpful and made our stay comfortable and very pampered....as honeymooners. The Spa is excellent and the free classes offered where very good and fun ! The food, very good breakfast ...a little over priced but good and the pool area snacks were very good and large portions. Drinks good. The view and set up of the restaurants bring a calm and relaxing feeling. For the last afternoon while waiting for departure they have a hospitality room ....very impressed, once again every detail to make your stay relaxing ,comfortable until the last minute .
