Place is in great location, only 10min walk from ferry. Power was out when we arrived. That was expected. Also informed we had NOT paid through Expedia. And that full price was to be paid at hotel. That was a surprise, but I then noticed that on email when I arrived… my fault! Lots of construction everywhere which is great for their growth. Every place we ate or drank around hotel was really nice!

Some people might find this location a little loud for their taste, it is right near all the action. I felt like once we were in the room the noise wasn’t that loud… I also use a noise machine when sleeping so it helps. For me you can’t beat the price and location. If you’re a light sleeper, it may not be for you, but I enjoyed staying here!

Our room was right beside a very noisy bar into the early hours of the morning which was extremely loud even with our balcony doors shut. There was also a cockroach in our room. It also seemed relatively expensive as we could have got a nicer and quieter place on the beach for a cheaper price.

Customer service was good. The noise doesn’t stop until 3am, so you do not come here if you want to sleep. At the Mayan Mittoz, sheets were dirty and mosquitos came in throughout the night.
