Nice resort, food is average, nice beach. High priced if you but anything at the resort. leave and you get twice as much entertainment, drinks, food for your money. Bath Tub in room was flaking. TV does not come in clear at all. had service man there 3 times and he could not get it any better. we did have to call front desk twice to get someone in to clean room and change towels since was not done at 730 pm at night.

Grand Cayman Beach Suites

Seven Mile Beach, Seven Mile Beach - Map
This was our first visit to the Cayman Islands and it certainly won't be our last, what a beautiful place!! We just returned from a week long stay at the Grand Cayman Beach Suites and thought it was absolutely WONDERFUL...we would return tomorrow if we could!! The location is fab, the beach and water are absolutely spectacular, the hotel suite was lovely and all of the staff all week were just great... very friendly, helpful and professional. We were there from September 21-28 and very fortunately had beautiful weather the entire week and enjoyed several excursions (snorkeling and diving) with Red Sail Sports which were easily arranged right at the hotel. We found the suite to be very spacious and very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the view of the beach from our balcony was amazing! I had called before we arrived and requested a room on a higher floor and we were on the fourth floor which was great! We were on the side of the hotel where the construction is ongoing next door but found that that never bothered us because the units seem to be very well soundproofed and we were always up early for our day's adventure! The pool area is beautiful and the chairs at the pool and the beach are very comfortable as others have mentioned. This is a lovely small "boutique" hotel with only 50 rooms so the beach in front of the resort was never crowded. Even with lots of people at the pool and children playing it was still very relaxing in the pool area...the landscaping is beautiful!! The swim-up pool bar was wonderful, food and drinks are a bit pricey but that is the case everywhere in the islands in my experience and you are on vaca anyway so who cares?? We bought groceries at the Foster's Supermarket (very nice) which is just a couple of blocks away and ate several meals in our suite which helped save $$, also bought our own liquor at the nearby liquor store and that was a much better deal! The housekeeping ladies were wonderful, brought us chocolates for our pillow every evening and a rum cake on our last night there...such a lovely touch!! Met another couple who was also there for their first time there and they loved the hotel and Grand Cayman Island as much as we did! I can't wait to return to GCBS as soon as possible...what a GREAT place!!!

This hotel was excellent!  The room was great, service was great, and the best thing was getting the "club" access.  This saved a ton of money on food!  Plus, it was not crowded and was a nice break from having to sit at a restaurant.  Our kids loved it as well.  One of the great things about the Ritz was all of the amenities, like the snorkel gear, the sailing, the paddle boards and kayaks.  It was nice to not have to rent this once we got there.  This is a great place if you want to be busy or you just want to sit and relax.  We loved the service and the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.  We would definitely come here again!  It's worth the money if you can make it work! Our only downside to the trip was having jewelry stolen out of one of our bags (happened at one of the airports, not the hotel), and having our camera bag stolen on our first day at the hotel before we checked in.  The customs person at the airport said locking your bag does no good.  They have a master key to every lock and can open any bag they want. Not exactly sure how it all happened, but lots of lessons learned.

"Awesome Restaurant & People!"
Spent a week at this hotel, and I must say that everyone was very nice & accommodating. From the front desk to the other workers everyone always had a smile. Although the weather wasn't the best at the beginning we were able to stay in the room until the rain stopped. The suite had a small kitchen and all was very clean. The beach is so close, just across the street and they provided us with chairs, towels & umbrellas. We had our continental breakfast every morning (which was included), the coffee was great! The restaurant is awesome, you need to try the fish tacos, they are to die for. All in all I would recommend anyone to stay.

"I love this place!"
This year will be our 4th stay at the morrits tortuga club. This place is great for family vacations. All rooms have full kitchens, so you can cook in a few nights if you like. The grand pool has a swim up bar with a view to die for. Grocery store, liquor store are with in walking distance. I feel this resort is a good value(if your the type of person who likes to complain about everything, this may not be the hotel for you)

"Grand time at the Grand"
I stayed at the newer Morritts Grand. It was beautiful with plenty of room for one (I often travel alone). I really enjoyed the balcony overlooking the beach to have meals or just relax. The internet in the room was slow, slow, slow and phone calls expensive (calling an 800 number was around * usd, local numbers ran about * usd each). The pools were beautiful as was the beach. I found having a car quite convenient and, outside of Georgetown, easy to navigate. Trying to navigate and drive caused me to occassionally miss some of the streets exiting the roundabouts but it was still doable. The cost of living is kind of high but not so high that it would prevent me from returning. This is a very beautiful, friendly and (I felt) safe Island.
