About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Gervinwold Creekside: Waterfront Paradise in Gatlinburg

Gervinwold Creekside is the perfect Gatlinburg cabin, nestled on a green hillside overlooking a clear, bubbling creek where you can step onto the deck to take in the fresh air and listen to the soothing sounds of water flowing by, with one bedroom and the ability to accommodate up to six guests, it's an ideal family getaway or romantic weekend escape.

Living Area

The open plan first level soothes you with a simple, elegant, contemporary design. A double-sided, stone fireplace is the living area’s striking centerpiece.

On one side of the fireplace, the main living area invites you to sprawl on the gorgeous cream-colored sofa or loveseat, or on the soft, plush chairs. Watch the flat-screen TV or lounge by the crackling fire. The cathedral ceiling overhead keeps the room cool. On the other side of the fireplace is a second seating area where a pair of deep, comfortable armchairs with ottomans are ready for you to stretch out and snooze in front of the second fireplace. An extra sofa creates a third seating area, too, so there’s no shortage of spots to hang out.

Kitchen and Dining Area

This might be the most charming galley kitchen you’ll ever see in a Smokies cabin. Blue cabinets echo the cabin’s pretty blue exterior. The marble-look countertops, stainless steel appliances, and slate-style floor are fresh and upscale. A convenient bar counter seats up to three guests for chats with the cook, coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine in the afternoon. Like all Colonial Properties cabin kitchens, this one is fully equipped with all the cookware, utensils, and serving and eating dishes you need to cook for a couple or a crowd.

Just steps from the kitchen and next to the open plan living area, the dining table seats six. This modern, glass-topped table with unusual sculptural chairs is an ideal place for laying out a pancake breakfast or playing games and cards.

Bedrooms

With its rich, dark wood furnishings and pale blue walls, the main bedroom is your private getaway. The queen bed is topped with a cloud of fluffy bedding. By night, enjoy the bedroom’s big flat-screen TV, and in the morning get ready in the roomy bathroom with double sinks so you and your sweetheart don’t get in each other’s way!

A second sleeping area is in the loft. A romantic, wrought iron queen bed is next to a private seating area with a TV and plush armchair. The second full bathroom features a striking, blue glass “vessel” sink that’s both useful and beautiful.

A queen-sized, pull-out sleeper sofa provides even more space for everyone to get a good night’s sleep.

Outdoor Space

The large front deck sports a hot tub where you can soak while you listen to the stream rushing past you, yards away. A big couch makes the deck like an outdoor living room where you can read, rest and drink in the clean mountain air. Fire up the gas grill and toss on shrimp, steak, or chicken, then sit at the table for a picnic. Later, bring home local moonshine and drink it under the stars. Try Moon Pie flavored moonshine to wash down a real Moon Pie snack cake--it’s a completely Tennessee treat.

Family vacation
We visited for thanksgiving vacation. When we got there the homeowner started screaming over the cameras that no dogs were allowed. Our dog wasn’t staying there because we had a dog sitter. We were dropping off luggage. Then the homeowner continued to watch us any time we were out of the house through the extreme amount of cameras around the house. We continued to hear an animal wimp in the house but never could find one. The downstairs tv would not work.

Peaceful Retreat
This was the second time that my 17 year old daughter and I stayed here because we love it so much! It very convenient, and feels centrally located, to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Wears Valley, Sevierville, etc., but still is so out of the way and feels like your remote. The house is beautiful, and has an amazing feel to it. The creek that runs out front is so amazing, and my daughter and I saw a Black Bear playing in it, upstream. Only two things that need to be mentioned 1. Bring your coffee 2. Bring extra pillows and blankets. We will be going soon, and will continue to stay there.

Peaceful getaway!
We loved our getaway! The cabin looks like the pictures. It was clean, easy to find and a cute little hideaway. The check-in process was effortless. I do have a few suggesstions: It's time for new bed pillows. The ones provided were very flat. Hangers in the closet would be helpful and a more flexible shower head in the upstairs bathroom would be great. The current shower head was making the water hit me in the face instead of the midsection of my body. I am 5'9 so that might have something to do with it. However, it was very challenging to take a shower and feel comletely clean. None of my suggestions are deal breakers, they would just add to the experience. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent the property again.

Great location
Location was excellent. Cabin was clean and well equipped. Only three things to note: entry stairs are treacherous, no hair dryer, house on adjacent property is a little creepy.

If you’re ok with mold stay here
The first night of the stay was fine until we realized that there was mold. This was at 11PM so we messaged the management team. After we discovered this we stayed out of the house as much as possible and only came back when we had to go to sleep. Our kids ended up sleeping in the same room as us on the floor so they would be further away from the mold (stairway by upstairs bed). The management team read my e-mail asking if we could relocate and showing them the mold 3 separate times on 3 separate days and no one ever wrote us back. We ended of leaving a night early so we didn’t have to be there any more. I asked for a refund as we did not agree to rent a house that had mold in it. I understand the fact that we did stay there, but we were forced to stay out the house as much as possible and refused to use the upstairs bedroom which was directly by the mold. We were told that even though it had mold we stayed there so we would not be getting any refund. I have plenty of photos and videos of the mold. I have never given a place a bad review before and have never asked for a refund, but this is a health issue and if they do not correct it someone will end up getting sick. I reached out to the team several times to make things right before giving them this review. My fear is a family that already has health issues or asthma getting in this house and getting sick.

This was the perfect place, in between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Free trolley from the nearby Welcome Center saves so much in parking fees in town. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely come back.
