"Fresh, Modern, and Fabulous! Can't wait to come back!"
My husband and I had the immense pleasure of staying at the new Renaissance Hotel on Lilla Torg in Malmo for three nights in July 2010. The first impression of the hotel is an absolutely stylish, modern, and fresh one- plenty of color and texture, making a welcome departure from the usual plain-jane hotel image.
Our room was beautiful, and filled with everything we could have wanted. The bathroom was spacious, clean and very modern and the room felt very private. The rooms seem to be spaced widely apart to allow for maximum privacy.
The breakfast was something worth getting out of bed for every morning! Traditional American style, including eggs, bacon, potatoes, and pancakes; Traditional Swedish style, including fresh breads, cheeses, meats, fish, spreads, and veggies, as well as cereal, muesli, yogurts, jams, and lots of fruits; And even pastries and a variety of juices were too tempting to pass up.
Lilla Torg is among the most beautiful and most buzzing areas in the city. A very short walk to all the best shopping, stations, and restaurants- if you want to experience Malmo, this is a lovely place to do it from. Even the more bohemian Mollevangen is only a fifteen minute walk (or a quick bus ride-- or borrow a bike from the hotel!), but you don't have to deal with all the noise at night.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our entire visit, and the price we paid with our flight booking was more than reasonable.
We will stay here without hesitation every time we visit Malmo from now on!
