Family Home by Mt Vernon Mansion

Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. Conveniently located 30 mins outside Washington D.C., 20 mins south of DCA, and just a few mins to George Washington's Mount Vernon and Fort Belvoir. 4 Bedrooms, 2.5 baths, Kitchen, Dining Room and living room, furnished and tastefully decorated make it a relaxing home-base for your time in our area. All bedrooms have new furniture and freshly painted /renovated. Master bedroom: queen bed, walk-in closet, en-suite bathroom with shower. 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have queen beds, 4th a twin, with shared bath. Guests are invited to use the upper two floors and spacious backyard. The laundry is located in the basement (otherwise used for storage). Basement is the next thing on my renovation list, so please only access for laundry.

Everything was super. I loved the holiday touches in the home. The Keurig and coffee were such a wonderful and welcoming surprise. Location was lovely, beautiful neighborhood. I couldn't have asked for a more comfortable, homey atmosphere. Our family from Fort Belvoir were very impressed with our find. For sure a five star experience!

This property is one of the best I've stayed in. I rolled in after dark and didn’t have any qualms with finding the place or wondering about its location. The neighborhood felt safe. Once inside it was welcomimg and easy to see the owner has worked hard to make this a nice place to vacation.

Good overall experience for our family
We enjoyed our stay at this older but updates in process home, squeaky floors and all. At this point it is lacking some kitchen supplies (sheet pans, kitchen towels, dishwasher soap, napkins) but stores are not too far away. Couldn't access tv but maybe that's good. We would consider this house if/when we return to the area.
