"Great $ for Location"
Great price for the location in the heart of the"Oakland Area". Very close to Forbes Ave where everything is located around. Great staff and a free shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up in the Oakland Area only, nice bonus.

"Good value"
We needed a place for three nights and the location was close to downtown Pittsburgh.  Price was good and breakfast was better than most.  Fitness room was fine.  Only drawback was room was a bit small.  We would stay again.

"Great location for a weekend getaway"
The free parking was a big benefit in the downtown area and being within walking distance to some great places. We were in town for a Steelers game and spent a few extra days exploring the city. We were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go, walked to the T to ride over to the game and didn't have to mess with all the traffic. Hotel staff was great, we had a king size suite, the bed was great, lots of room, and very clean. Even the complimentary breakfast was good! Really no complaints and would stay here again.

"Good location and good room"
Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. We had some issues with our room key not working upon check-in so they upgraded us to a bigger room. Room was good, bed was very comfy, and shower had good pressure. Room was clean. Little kitchen with fridge and micro was very handy! Breakfast was delicious - different hot foods each day. Enjoyed the stay and would recommend.

"Better than expected"
It was comfortable and clean. Arrived late at night. It would be difficult to find unless you had a GPS. Local restaurants would have been difficult w/o a GPS also. Everything promised was delivered.

"Good, basic stay in Oakland"
Location: Great if you are visiting a nearby university or hospital. Less so if you plan to spend much time downtown, are heading to a game, etc. But compared to downtown, the price is right. Arrival: Longish, but easy ride from the airport on the 28X bus for $3.25 (vs. a $50 cab ride). Check-in: a breeze, despite it being a busy weekend (Halloween + Steelers game) and the late hour. Room: Relatively large, clean, comfy, quiet (sometimes). Bed: Very good compared to others I’ve stayed at in this chain. Staff: Very polite, friendly and helpful. Good stuff: Free internet, breakfast included, parking, and walkable to “downtown Oakland.” Also, the free shuttle was a great add-in that I’d not expected, but made good use of several times. Bad stuff: No real downside, except know what you are getting, and ask for a quiet room (away from the highway), or post your “do not disturb” sign if getting any sleep after 8:00am is part of your plan.

"Nice Hotel For The Price"
This hotel is nicely renovated, it is keeping up with higher quality hotels. We stayed in a Superior King Room which was an upgrade from the standard room. It was decent sized for costing less then a hundred dollars. I don't really have any complaints about the room. I really liked that it was on the second floor where you walk up a stairwell and enter into an enclosed hallway that looked like a real hotel not a motel like the bottom floor. The only thing that I did have a problem with was the staff. The front desk clerk was not helpful. I called a few days earlier for an early check in and was told I could check in after 12, but when I got there a few minutes before 12 the woman told us she would not have a clean room until 1. We waited an hour before she even checked to see if there were any rooms available. I find it hard to believe though because the next morning there were maids knocking on our door at 10:10am wanting to clean our room, when check out was not until 11am. We were in town for a Steelers football game and this hotel was cheap and not to far from down town Pittsburgh. Right outside the hotel is a restaurant that we were able to walk to and get a late dinner, there is also a McDonnalds and a Sheetz near the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.
