Used for catching up on sleep after taking a red eye flight. Hotel was fine for that. The only problem is there is no one at the desk until 2 pm making an early check in impossible. Also the pillows at this hotel were not very comfortable.

Hotel is conveniently located about 2 or three blocks from train station, which you can travel to Rhine Falls, or into the City Center, Zurich. Room A/C was not that great, however, a fan was provided. Hotel has an elevator. Everything seems more expensive in Switzerland. Breakfast at the hotel was 24 Euros, we opted to get some fresh fruit from a local market. We did not have a car, therefore, we traveled by bus from the airport to the train station near hotel when we arrived, and took a Tram when we departed to the airport from the train station.

I would like to visit Dormero Hotel once again.

I like to express my sincere thanks to Nils and Bhramha. They both were very helpful in all respect. The breakfast was GREAT, plenty; and the coffee machine was an additional bonus. The breakfast environment was very cordial. What I missed was the aircondition. The airport was very close. Nils and Bramha gave me directions how to reach the airport using public transportation and it cost me 4.50 CHF.

The bestvplace to be close to the Zurich airport. Bus is 3 mins walk from the hotel and train is 5 mins walk if you need to go to Zurich or you coming from Zurich HB. There is a Coop where you can your chocolate but also Migros is 3-4 mins walk. The hotel is very close to restaurant. Infront is mediterrean restaurant and you walk to the left a chinese take away vash only and a mexican restaurant is very close. If you walk to the right there 2 chinese restaurants you can find but not only that it also near Italian and local restaurant very close to the hotel.

The elevator broke down on the morning we were checking out and we carried 5 pieces of large luggage down from the 5th floor… further no coffee anywhere unless you buy the 24 Swiss franc breakfast … about 45CAD PER PERSON…

Staff were nice and helpful, although reception was only open in the afternoon / evening. Even so, when i arrived early i found a staff member to ask about leaving my case until check in time. This involved just leaving my case near the reception desk. All was fine, but other hotels do it more securely with locked rooms and ID tags so no-one can take your luggage. The room is split into a small corridor, the bathroom and the bedroom. The bedroom was very nicely decorated. The red and white decor looked good. The beds very very comfortable as well, thanks to the mattress topper (i think it may have been another duvet inder the sheet). The beds were also very big. Width and length ways. The TV was big and let me stream content from my tablet fine. There was a fridge with several free drinks in (several glass bottles) There was no air con, but there was a fan. I had to tighten some screws on the fan to stop it making an annoying noise, but after that it was ok. Could do with the blades dusting though. The bathroom was a little more dated. The cold white lighting gave it the feel of an old american motel. The sink was nice and big and the toilet was fine (good quality TP too). The shower was over a bath. Unfortunately the shower screen didnt hold the water, so it left a big puddle of water on the floor after my shower. Even when i was trying to be careful. Good for a nights stay before the airport (the bus stop was just over the road for the airport bus as well.
