Although not located centrally in the middle of Zermatt, it’s only a 8-10 minute walk from the train station. It’s got lots of charm (the decor is very traditional, a little bit “tired” looking but cute) and it is very clean in the most important ways (bathroom, linens, general spaces. It’s a ski town, so expect it to be slightly dirty. Walls are very thin and could hear fellow travelers coughing throughout the night. Overall, it was a good stay. It did the job of giving me shelter for the night. 😊

It is a hotel you will remember for a long time. The view from the balcony is magnificent. It is like watching a movie "Matterhorn" from the VIP seats. It is located very close to the Matterhorn Express station. You can walk to the center of Zermatt or take a free E-bus in a 2-minute walk from the hotel.

View of Matterhorn is priceless

The hotel was not very convenient to the train when you have luggage. The hotel did not provide shuttle service. That was the only negative. The front desk, Marta (?) was so nice and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic!!! There were so many options and the staff was so friendly. The view of Matterhorn just can’t be beat. Also, there is a spa that has individual jacuzzis and warm stone loungers which were wonderful after long hikes. Would definitely recommend Hotel Antares!

Great hotel in Zermatt

A great hotel and even more amazing staff. Very accommodating and very pleasant. The rooms with a view of the Matterhorn are awesome. The hotel is only a block away from the Cable car and about a 15 min walk to the train station.
