I was extremely disappointed in this resort. The main reason why I booked it was so I could bring my small dog and when I booked it nowhere in their policy did it said we weren't allowed to leave the dog in our hotel room alone. They make you sign a contract that clearly states that dogs can not be left alone in the premises even for "going out to dinner or walks". I didn't want to pay any fees so my spouse and I had to take turns to go grab food. The rooms were also very dirty and icky. As soon as you walked in you could feel the nasty, humid air. The pets only rooms had old, smelly carpets. Why in the world would you put carpet in pet rooms!!! The only positive thing was the pool area by the tiny beach. It had a nice view of the lake although I do want to point out both the jacuzzi and outdoor pool were greenish brown. To be fair it could had very well been from the kiddos bringing in the sand from the beach. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!!

We got what we paid for. The property and room were fine. Things were dated and some areas deteriorating but was clean and well kept. We chose it for the price and a review saying the beds were comfortable however the beds in our room were not. As I said, we got what we paid for and the stay was sufficient but likely wouldnt stay there again.

We had a great overnight stay at Bakers Sunset Resort! From the moment we arrived, the resort felt very welcoming. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable, though the stairs leading up to it could have used a good vacuuming. The room was not very modern, but that did not bother us. The resort doesn’t offer breakfast, but having a coffee machine in the room was a nice touch. The highlight of our stay was definitely the indoor pool area. The water temperature was perfect for swimming, and my 10-year-old son had an absolute blast on the dolphin water slide. It wasn’t crowded at all—he practically had the pool to himself while I enjoyed a peaceful soak in the hot tub. While the pool area itself was nice, it was a bit messy due to other guests leaving their trash behind, which isn’t the hotel’s fault but something to be aware of. Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay. We’d definitely come back!

Front desk lady was super friendly and helpful! Had a retro feel....but in a good way! Had all we needed including a pool for kids with a slide. Our room had a deck with tabke and chairs that would have been perfect in the summer!

The property was nice and the scenery of the lake was beautiful. The front desk staff was wonderful! There was constant noise upstairs one night. People were running and slamming doors after midnight so we didn’t get much sleep. We only got to enjoy the pool for 45 minutes one day because there were adults drinking alcohol and being loud in the hot tub while their kids swam in the pool. So we left cause it was not ideal and unsafe. We had to get new towels because ours were dirty upon arrival.
