Nice house
Upon arrival, the house was clean and suited our needs. Rooms were spacious, living space was nice and beds were comfortable. Our first night we all went to wash up before bed and noticed that the water was luke warm. We figured it was just taking time to get hot water upstairs. The next morning when we were trying to shower, we realized there was NO hot water. We contacted the host and they were quick to respond. A plumber was at the house within 90 minutes. Unfortunately the hot water heater had failed and none of us were able to shower before our daily outings. Yuck! The hot water heater was replaced by the time we returned. We expected a “follow up” of some sort from the host, but nothing. A simple text or gesture acknowledging our inconvenience would have gone a long way. On the day of checkout, the cleaning people entered the home through an inside door, without knocking or any warning 30 minutes prior to the checkout time. When we reached out to the host regarding these two situations, the response was a bit snarky, which was not appreciated or expected. Again, customer service and a kind word goes a long way!
