Pros • Large open kitchen with new appliances, including a full size gas stove/oven, and large refrigerator. Well stocked with pots & pans, dishes and utensils. • Master Bedroom bath is large and modern with plenty of counter space for cosmetics, etc. The second bath is small, but also a full bathroom and adequate with updated fixtures. • Clean. Nicely updated throughout. Cute “railroad décor." • The property is in walking distance of the entertainment, bars, and restaurants on Old Route 66.Cons • Window coverings throughout are translucent. It is not possible t darken a room. Glare on TV until 7 PM. • The double doors to the deck & patio (shown in photographs), is posted “Do Not Open.” If you want to use the patio (grill, sitting area) you have to exit the side (main) door, carrying things most of the length of the house. The patio and deck are on the street in the front of the house. • The condition and cleanliness of the grill, along with poor access from the kitchen, ended our plan to grill. The propane tank was quite light, likely close to empty. • The cookware was mostly mismatched, many without fitting lids. • The television has the Fire OS. The host’s selection of service is very limited and not changeable. • Although well maintained itself, the property is in a generally poorly maintained neighborhood.SummaryAn excellent option for a short stay. Some drawbacks if you are going to be there more than a day or two.
