Do not book this property! The online pictures and descriptions are deceptive and do not reflect the actual facility and rooms. This was not what we expected. Up entry, my wife immediately worried about bed bugs and started checking and inspecting the room. Within 5 minutes we decided this room was unacceptable. All cleaning and hygiene came into question when we saw the very limited bedding - for example, there was no mattress pad/protector. The room and bathroom were extremely small. When I called to advise that the room was unacceptable and that we were leaving, (no live answer; only voice message) within minutes, as we were leaving, someone came to the room. No attempt or offer to rectify. Just rude comments and exclamation that we will not get a refund. We left and drove to Corning, NY, to stay at a wonderful property. I contacted Expedia and they also could not get a live contact over the next 3 days as they attempted to follow up with this property.

The wifi was spotty. The bed was very uncomfortable. The toilet would not flush and they have no maintenance crew.

Colonial Inn and Creamery is in a nice central location. The room was clean and equipped with small refrigerator, microwave and toiletries. Check-in was contactless with a door code. Ice cream at the creamery was excellent.

We booked the two rooms together with the shared bathroom. The rooms were cute and the check-in process was a breeze. However, it was difficult to sleep due to the parking lot light coming in the windows and no blackout curtains. I tried to contact the hotel about that issue as well as to ask for additional blankets but they never replied. We were able to get extra blankets from an employee we ran into in the hallway (the only one we saw over a two-day stay), but never a response from management. We loved the location though and overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Room was shabby, needs paint, no shower curtain floor got wet when we showered. No fan in bathroom. The bed should have a protector pad between the mattress and the sheets,a there was only the fitted sheet... the room was musty smelling.this could be a good motel with a little update , if they painted , cleaned better, pictures on the wall, etc...

It was very quiet and they made the process for check in and check out seemless. The ice cream onsite was great. Parking was easy and the instructions they provided were very clear about the whole check in process.

Disappointed Stay

The location was great but the room was terrible the only thing good in the room was the bed. The bathroom was terrible, the toilet, sink and tub were so close together you could barely use the toilet. There was no electricity in the bathroom for hair dryer or shaver. The only electrical plug was by the TV which was hidden by the dresser. Needs a little updating. The carpet was dirty. Thankfully we were only there for a coupe hours to sleep.

It's located right in the heart of the cute downtown and has both an adorable ice cream shop and wood oven pizza truck out front. The renovated rooms are tastefully appointed and clean as a whistle.
