The condo fit our family's needs (2 adults and two teenagers). It was a brief 5-8 min walk to the Metro and there was a Starbucks on the way. Condo was not super clean, especially around corners, baseboard (like it hadn't been cleaned in a while), and the bathroom's shower curtain had mold on it. The couch had big stain on the cover over it. There also were only three seats in the den to watch TV, if you wanted to. There were plates in the cabinet that had food still on them. Not a big deal, since we normally wash dishes as soon as we get to a place, but it was consistent with not being super clean. My wife likes to come through at the beginning and clean counters, tables, refrigerator, etc. to make it clean to her level. Overall, the condo suited our needs fine. We never ran out of hot water, which was awesome. We left everyday early and got back late each night.

While the apartment was neat, it could have been cleaner and the linens most of all. There were make-up stains all over the towels and bed linens. I had to wash them and then they came out clean. The property manager, Henry, was attentive but it does not minimize that the stove had foul fumes due to a protective coating on the bottom of the stove, which have me a 2 day headache. The owner did not seem to care. We had to purchase our own towels and placed sweatshirts over the pillows to avoid the drool smell and the bathtub was clogged/slow. I am disappointed that 3 of my 6 day vacation was spent cleaning linens and beds and waiting for maintenance clearance. It did not work out for our thanksgiving plans. If you have 4 guests staying for 6 nights there should have more than one set of towels and most of them were dirty. Henry the host was great and he didn’t deny the problem and did the best he could. He acknowledged that the linens were dirty and that they ordered new ones which would arrive in a couple of days. We were exhausted from our 15hr drive and just wanted to go to bed in a clean bed and that did not happen until 2am. In this post-covid era, more steps should be taken to ensure a clean and ready property is offered. Especially since the property description claimed to be a luxury property with luxury linens which sparked my reservation. The dirty towels were extremely small (barely wrapped around me) and worn/thin.

The apartment was in a great location and perfect size for two adults and two teens. Costco next door and Whole Foods short walk away allowed for us to cook a couple meals in easily. Very safe feeling area with a great little park right outside the front door. The metro station is less than a 10 minute walk away and used by us frequently for trips into the DC area. Favorite restaurants were Matchbox near the mall for dinner, Toby’s ice cream next door to the apartment building and Commonwealth Joe coffee roasters for great coffee each morning. Apartment has a view of the Pentagon and is less than 10 minutes from DCA airport. Would highly recommend if visiting the DC area.

Upscale, family-friendly, spacious, and convenient

This beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment in an upscale Pentagon City high-rise provided more than ample space for our family of 6 including 2 teens and 2 preteens. We stayed for 7 nights while touring the DC area. Vincent & Lily provided detailed directions and even photos for finding the apartment, and were very responsive when we had questions. We especially appreciated the provided shower supplies (body wash, shampoo, conditioner), TP, paper towels, dishwasher pods, and in-unit washer and dryer.The building and neighborhood were quiet and we always felt safe. The room overlooks a park and playground, and a thin slice of the Pentagon can be seen in between two buildings. The Costco and Whole Foods were very convenient and just a short walk away.It's about 10 minutes walk to the Pentagon City metro station where the blue line and yellow line cover almost all of downtown DC and the National Mall. The west side of the Mall, the Tidal Basin, and the Wharf don't have metro stations nearby, but Pentagon City is so close that a Lyft or Uber over the bridge is fast and cheap.The hot water was hot and the A/C was cold. The pull-out bed was comfortable for our teen. We felt right at home.

Great, Clean, Supplied 2-bedroom across from Costco!

Probably saved $500 cause Costco was soooo close! Lily replied quickly with each request; and one that was done…no more contacting Lily cause I had everything I needed! The apartment complex is also well maintained with friendly staff. Hope I can get back for Christmas with our son who works in DC!

Lovely condo in a safe walkable neighborhood

My family of four adults recently stayed in this beautiful condo. It was a short walk to the metro and grocery store. Check in was effortless, and communication with the host was very easy. I will recommend this listing to all family and friends traveling to the D.C. area!

Location, Comfort, Safety

Crystal City is an ideal, upscale, safe, and enjoyable location. You are located immediately across the bridge from DC, just a 3 minute drive to Arlington Cemetery. This building is situated at the south end of a lovely two block-long, beautifully sculptured park with a magnificent playground. From the unit enjoy views of Pentagon City Mall, Costco, and a peek at the Pentagon. Whole Foods and Harris Teeters (grocer) are 2-5 blocks away. The Pentagon City Metro stop is just past the Costco, about 3 blocks around the corner, with an easy to find elevator for those with mobility issues. The building is accessed with a key fob for added security. Both the owners and unit managers are easy to reach, prompt, courteous, and responsive. As to the unit, you will be delightfully surprised to find it clean and fresh, well supplied and well stocked. No need to pack shampoo, shower soap, or laundry detergent. A high chair is tucked away in a closet. The furnishings are new and comfortable. A king bed in one bedroom and two queens in the other, with a sofabed in the living room. Each bedroom has a bathroom and the two-bed bathroom has a stacked laundry. If you can avoid using a car I recommend it. The garage is very (very) tight and intended for compact cars. If you forget to hang your parking tag they WILL tow you, as I unfortunately learned, but the unit manager helped me get that squared away. This property is a relaxing oasis in the metropolis.
