Fishing Trip
Great place to stay along the Lake of the Ozarks. Perfect for a fishing trip getaway. Only one issue that no one had control over, was a staple sticking out of the sheets that sliced the back of my thigh about 6” long.

Very nice quiet spot with all necessary amenities.
Our family had a very nice few days here. It was very quiet with no interruptions from neighbors or traffic. It was great to have the water right at the edge of the property and we had a fun time fishing and swimming in the cove and getting out on the lake with just our canoe and kayak. The house itself is quite nice and well equipped. We grilled. We cooked in the kitchen. All went well. A very minor word of warning...the master bedroom sits directly underneath the kitchen...so if you have people that want to sleep late in the master bedroom, there will be considerable noise overhead from the early risers eating breakfast. Other than that, no complaints and only good things to say.

A Real Polished Turd
Well, The furnishings were nice, and there was an ample amount of space. We loved the fact that we could have our dog with us, and the AC was turned up high when we arrived which was definitely appreciated because it was so hot and humid out. That is the end of the positives. The base boards looked like they were rotting from the moisture, there was exposed wiring behind the light fixture in the master bathroom, the place was crawling with centipedes, and the water smelled like a super stinky sulfur egg fart, and the jetted tub... well let's just say that you couldn't pay us to fill that thing up with egg fart water and enjoy a nice soak. The floors did not get thoroughly cleaned prior to our stay and there were leftover curly black hairs in the bathroom (neither of us have black or curly hair). The highlight of our experience was when my dog started staring closely at something on the floor, and when I went over to take a look, there was a scorpion crawling through the kitchen! NO JOKES! Aside from the cassette boom box and VHS capabilities (it's 2018... who still owns cassettes?) the furnishings were new, but the rest of the house could really use a facelift and a visit from the ORKIN guy. We would say that this place is a real polished turd.

Spring Time Stay
We had a great experience at the lake house. We took a boat down and fished on truman lake and then put the boat on the river and were able to pull right up in the little cove below the house and fish there as well as keep the boat close by. The house was perfect for our group of 7 guys and slept us all comfortably. We took advantage of the nice outdoor patios as we played poker outside and had a fish fry. Very nice fire pit that was great for sitting around enjoying company with friends. Would recommend to anyone. The only complaint we had was the shower water smelled VERY strongly of sulfur, especially when the hot water was on. Smells like rotten eggs! I remember the same smell from Hot Sulfur Springs in colorado. Other than this,, only good things to say.

Needs work
We booked this house for a weekend getaway. The house needs work and may have mold issues. The master bed was decent but had a spot above the door where the wall was bubbled indicating possible water leak/mold. During our stay we had some issues which I had emailed the owner about and never received a response. The owner did mention that she was out of town visiting the mountains and wifi was limited for them. The furniture could use updating as its not very comfortable. The property doesn't have cable/sat however she has provided wifi and a Roku. During our stay the Netflix wasn't working but the hulu did work. The walk down to the fire-pit area is steep and tricky with the loose rock. The charcoal grill needs repaired or replaced, the gas grill was out of gas so we have to exchange the tank at a local store. Kitchen floor was sticky when we arrived. A/C and fridge work fine. Be careful on the main road to this property turns into a gravel road and is very bumpy. I actually had a rock cut one of my truck tires and ended up with a flat tire. We enjoyed the area but I can say that we won't be coming back to this specific listing again.

Nice place
This was a very nice stay for our group. It was a little cramped for 7 adult men on a golf outing but we enjoyed the location and will likely return in the future. Air mattress is a bonus for the living room as the couch and futon were not that comfortable to sleep on.

Excellent house with great location!
This was a great location and the house was even better! Plenty of space, close to the water and close to a community boat ramp. Having the balcony and patio was an excellent feature as well. Great stay, would love to use the location and owner again.

Very disappointing.
The water stunk terribly, dish washer didn't work/it doesn't clean the dishes. We had to leave a day early because no one in the family could take a shower the water was THAT disgusting even after we ran it for 20 minutes. The kids were excited to swim in the lake behind the house until we saw the " swim at your own risk sign" we should have been told about that, it was not fun for the kids at all. The pictures she has of the bunk bedroom isn't even a room it's just bunk beds randomly placed next to the kitchen and has no privacy what's so ever. The Tv was cool at first with all the free movies until it started to storm and we figured out that there isn't actual tv so we couldn't watch the news. The place was crawling with bugs and the master bedrooms bathroom was disgusting, it looked like it hasn't been properly cleaned in a very long time. We were very disappointed.

Vacation was OK, but had several issues...
I just spent 10 days at the Olson Family Lake House. We had 8 adults and 4 children and even though the description doesn't say that many can stay, I was told it would be ok since there were futons and such. The futons are horrible to sleep on and not much better to sit on. I would not recommend taking more people than the 2 queen beds and the bunk beds will allow, unless you have an air mattress. We also could not get the TV to work due to the low bandwidth of the Wi-Fi. (This is a large, older TV that can only be seen when sitting right in front of it, not from the sides.) We notified the owner and then spoke with someone nearby that cares for the home and a tech was sent out. He came while we were gone for the day and left the back door to the deck wide open. I texted the owner letting her know that the TV still wasn't working and that the AC unit quit working when we had 3 days left. I never received a response (07/25/2016). We ended up leaving a day early because it was over 95 degrees in the home when the AC unit quit working. When the AC unit was working, it didn't do a great job of cooling the home, even when no one was there during the day. It would get up to about 85 during the day and take most of the night to get cooled back down. This also affected the refrigerator's ability to keep up when it was full of food.
The lawn had not been mowed and the grass was past my knees. Everyone got tons of chigger bites every-time we went outside and walked through it, down the steep incline to the "lake". This is not a lake front home. It has about 6 feet of water frontage to a very small cove area. When we arrived, there were dead fish and lots of debris in the area. There were also several wasp nests around the eaves of the home, which made it hard to go in and out of the door or enjoy the very small upper deck.
The bunk beds are located upstairs, between the kitchen and front door area while the 2 bedrooms are downstairs. There are no doors where the bunk beds are either... It is wide open and difficult to get kids the kids to bed if others want to stay up and use the living /kitchen area or upper decks.
There is a guy named Lewis that provided us with a slip for the boat and helped us get the boat launched at the ramp that is very close to the home. The owner was very nice and answered all my questions prior and during my stay, but not when the AC went out. It's a great location, just needs some serious updates.

Nice House
The house was very neat and nice. One of the best features was the little pocket of water off the Lake of the Ozarks to keep your boat. A close by ramp made it very convenient if you plan on boating.
The only downfalls to the house was the Television and Parking space. The house had access to internet cable, but the internet speeds were not fast enough to download. It wasn't a big deal since we were not renting the house to watch TV anyways. Just be aware if you are pulling a boat trailer that there isn't much room for parking.
I would recommend this house to someone wanting a nice affordable place for a decent size group of people.

Family Vacation
My family and I had a great time at the Olson family lake house! Four of us stayed at the house, although it would have slept more people. The cabin had everything we needed and we cooked most meals at the cabin! The cabin was very clean! I am waiting for the return of my security deposit, but it has only been a few days so I am sure I will get it back soon.

great family getaway
We enjoyed two nights at the Olson Family Lake House. It was equipped with everything we needed and worked perfectly for our two families with kids. It's a nice rural setting, you can walk down to boat ramp to fish. You can also fish in channel behind house, but a tad steep for young kids. Quiet area in general. House was clean and we did all of our cooking there, visiting town for pizza one night.

Great place!
Great place! Comfortably sleeps 8 plus the living space is great. Great place to eat is the Smokestack in Warsaw. Recommend if you want to rent a pontoon boat you do it a month in advance. We waited until 2 days before on the weekend and everything was already reserved. The closest places are Truman Lake Park or Bucksaw Marina. Lake of the Ozark Places are over 1 1/2 hrs away and twice the cost for 8 hrs. For those not familiar with Missouri, Truman Lake is a Corps of Engineer lake but not as populated as Lake of the Ozarks. We were able to raft out to the lake and spend hours there without seeiing hardly any boats. Very peaceful.
